Volunteer Check-In, Will-call and Lost & Found Volunteer Check-In Feb 01, 2025 9:30 am - 2:00 pm 3 5
message Volunteer Check-In: Greet the volunteer and ask which group they are representing, so you can find the correct page for them to sign-in. (If their name is not on the list call their Group Coordinator listed at the top of the sign-up sheet or Jennifer Costello to clarify). Volunteers may work a double shift if they desire. Please confirm they are registered for multiple shifts. If a volunteer is asked to stay for a double shift to cover a “no-show”, the Volunteer Coordinator must return to the VOLUNTEER CHECK-IN prior to beginning the covered shift to notate the change on the sheets. (This will provide us with an overall picture of staffing and may enable us to place volunteers in areas short staffed.) • Ask volunteer which organization they are volunteering with/for and obtain their signature in the sign-in box. • Issue a shirt once the volunteer has signed in (1 per volunteer) • Plastic storage bins will be provided with the volunteer shirts, separated by size • Inform all volunteers that they should locate and review the job description posted in their assigned area and review it carefully. (Some job descriptions are outlined by specific times and specific tasks.) • Advise volunteer their Coordinator will take them to their assigned location (Site Plan). Will-Call/VIP/SEMINARS 1. The Will Call and/or VIP boxes are divided / sorted ALPHABETICALLY. - Any individual who is picking up a VIP arm band will have to present a ticket (phone or hard copy). You will then scan the ticket and place the arm band on the guest’s wrist. DO NOT HAND IT TO THEM. - Each individual is required to show identification verifying their identity to receive their tickets and/or wristband. 2. At the end of the day, Will Call/VIP ticket boxes will be collected by Dinah Putnal or Jennifer Costello. Lost & Found 1. There will be a bin provided where items turned in can be placed for safe keeping. 2. If the items are small enough, place in a white envelope (provided) and write a description of the item on the outside and seal the envelope. 3. If a guest comes to lost and found to leave an item not allowed in our gates, place their item in an envelope and have the property owner write their name and number on the outside. Seal the envelope and place in the bin in ALPHA ORDER for safe keeping. - Guest will need to provide ID to retrieve their property.
