Save your seat for this all-inclusive experience! A chance to immerse yourself into exploring the tastes, sights, sounds and mindsets of another part of the world. Each month (Jan – October*) FusionFest features the cuisine and culture of a different country or culture with a Diversitastic! Dining Experience at a locally owned restaurant, owned by and featuring that culture’s food. A special menu is prepared and a program with music, dance, chef and culture talks is put together. Your ticket gets you a seat and serving of the full meal from appetizer to dessert along with the entertainment and enlightenment. Sometimes even a trivia quiz with great prizes. Many of these “mom & pop” restaurants/food vendors are fairly small so we often sell out. (But even our largest Diversitastic! Dining event with 93 seats sold out). You’ll want to try to get your tickets before the last minute to make sure you get seats. *June features several nights of culinary fusion contestants. You will receive seven small dishes, each the creation of a different chef who will be combining ingredients, spices or techniques from different continents/cultures to serve up the best fusion dish. They are competing for a $1,000 grand prize, but you as the audience get to vote for the audience favorite which awards another cash prize to one of the chefs. The chefs will explain their dish when it is served. As always we’ll have a some live entertainment to go with the meal, making the evening a fun and relaxing adventure.
