Monoprint followed by painting on gesso-primed, acid-free illustration board. After blocking in basic shapes of color with a loose transfer mono-print technique, I painted for more intentional control. Acrylic, image is 14" x 11." Thought I’d include a second image which shows the loose the mono-print stage.

After a long career as a graphic designer and art/creative director with an MBA in marketing, I am now primarily focused on my first love, painting. From still life to landscapes to figures, I paint in a modern impressionist style utilizing both oils and acrylics. My simplified, yet realistic renderings emphasize the transformative effects of color, light and contrast in painting. From Martha’s Vineyard, I studied art in Lacoste, France and at the Art Institute of Chicago earning a BA in Studio Art with Honors at Wesleyan University in Middletown, CT.
