This painting was juried into a national exhibit and won BEST OF SHOW in 2017. A landscape painting with bright, yet natural color, painted in an impressionist style. Acrylic on gallery-wrapped canvas* with edges painted for a clean, "self-framed" effect. *The acid-free stretched canvas is gallery-wrapped, which means the fabric is stretched over the frame so that the canvas completely covers the stretcher bars and is attached to the back of the frame. Gallery wrapped artwork can be framed later, so as a collector you can apply your personal style if you are going to frame the work. On the other hand, if you are looking to buy work already framed, I have already framed it by painting around the edges as an extension of the painting.

Amy Feil Phillips Fine Art
After a long career as a graphic designer and art/creative director with an MBA in marketing, I am now primarily focused on my first love, painting. From still life to landscapes to figures, I paint in a modern impressionist style utilizing both oils and acrylics. My simplified, yet realistic renderings emphasize the transformative effects of color, light and contrast in painting. From Martha’s Vineyard, I studied art in Lacoste, France and at the Art Institute of Chicago earning a BA in Studio Art with Honors at Wesleyan University in Middletown, CT.
