A graphic, blackened silver flower tops these unique larimar stones. At the center of each flower is a 6mm swiss blue topaz accented with hammered circles. Delicate rice pearls strung on blue silk thread dangle lightly below the larimar and are accented with more freshwater pearls on gold headpins and aquamarines. Earwires are 14k. These earrings measure 3 1/4 inches in length and 1 1/4 inches at the widest point of the flower.
Absolutely, positively, one-of-a-kind. Made with my two hands in my studio.

I've a degree in biology and have always been fascinated by the anatomy and morphology of plants and animals. At the same time, I've felt a strong pull to design and create. Transforming gemstones, wire, and sheets of metal into flowers, vines, and botanical abstractions is a natural culmination of these two paths.
My work explores leaf and petal motifs and the rhythmic rise-and-fall wave patterns found in nature. While freeform and organic, my creations are tempered by an underlying nod to structure and balance. The juxtaposition of raw and organic with delicate and romantic accents is another common theme.
In the studio, I often combine wire wrapping with traditional metalsmithing techniques in unique and original ways. I frequently pair wire-wrapped fringe accents with bezel-set stones.
