Help us prepared for next year's march. A march / parade is a significant undertaking when it comes to expenses. We are expecting 2024 to be bigger than the first with many additional expenses as we will be allowing floats. The fees for this year have been kept to a minimum to encourage participation from everyone as it is the first march. You can help us avoid significant increases in next year's fees by helping today with a donation.
Join us in marking history for the first ever Pride March in the City of Reading and County of Berks.
The march will begin with a flag raising at City Hall at 10 AM, followed by marchers lined up n 8th st between Washington and Penn St. (Line up for Marchers begins at 9am) The marchers will march up Penn St. to turning onto 11th st, then entering City Park, where we will conclude with a Pride Picnic and Rally supporting our Drag and Trans siblings who's rights are under attack across the country. All marchers and spectators are encouraged to wear of display something supporting the Drag and Trans community. Heels, wigs, gowns, flags are just some suggestions.
If your group, business or organization would like to march with us, please complete the application under the vendor tab. Currently Serving elected officials are welcome to march with Reading Pride celebration. Political candidates (new or running for reelection) are also welcome.
