Description
This is a two day class beginning on Friday, November 12th from 6:30 pm to 9 pm, and Saturday, November 13th from 8:30 am to 12:00 pm. Participants must attend both days of training in order to be part of the class. The first class on Friday evening will be held at the Auburn Police Department in the court room. Instructions and directions will be given out on Friday evening for Saturdays class. Classes are limited to 20 participants. If you attempt to sign up for a particular date and it will not allow it, that means the class is full. Please see other date options if listed to reserve your spot. You must be 21 or older to sign up however, ages 16-20 may attend as long as they are accompanied by a parent or legal guardian that is attending the class. During the COVID-19 pandemic, mask are not required but if you feel comfortable wearing one you may do so. We also will try and social distance the best we can during the class. Participants are encouraged to bring their own pistols, however if you do not own a pistol the Police Department has .22 caliber Glock pistols that you may shoot. Participants must provide their own ammunition. We suggest a minimum of 100 rounds of target "the cheap" ammo. If you are shooting one of our .22 caliber guns you will need to purchase .22 caliber long rifle ammunition. Please bring hearing and eye protection. If you wear glasses, that will be sufficient for eye protection. If you are bringing your own pistol to the class, please leave your pistol in your vehicle when you arrive at the training location. We will instruct you when to retrieve your weapon. Due to our gun range being located outside, we recommend you bring water, snacks, sunscreen, and a camping foldable chair while you are waiting to shoot. We usually try to supply water, but there is always a limited supply. We have 10 x 10 tents that will be up to sit under and shoot under. Bathrooms are on premises. Please print the confirmation email with the confirmation code. If you do not have a print option, please have access to your confirmation with you via mobile device. This class is a rain or shine event. The class will not be cancelled unless it is unsafe weather conditions. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Sgt. M. Pharr 404-606-5457
