"Caretaker of the small details pouring herself out to fill others up The planner, The keeper of time The nourisher The memory nudger The list maker The finder of the humor in any situation The fierce protector The noticer" In this workshop, participants will explore the things that women hold and carry through the creation of a necklace. We will utilize a change book frame to hold tiny treasures that are special to you. Please bring small objects to turn into charms. Nothing larger than a key. And be careful of weight. Objects too large or too heavy aren't going to balance well- and remember this will go around your neck. (So even though you loved Dad's giant watch- is it a practical piece for a charm necklace?) Kerry will also have a selection of small antique objects available for purchase. This is not a beginner class. You will need to be able to manipulate two pairs of pliers to open and close chain links to secure your objects. Kerry will provide the change purse frame, the chain, odds and ends for creative charm making- and will help with design, engineering, balance and story telling. This class is for participants ages 18+. This class has a minimum of 4 and a maximum of 8. If the class does not meet the minimum, participants will be refunded. As her passion for creating jewelry, and her clientele grew, eventually her booths were put aside in favor of working in her studio and selling her work at vintage and art shows.
