Saturday October 21st - Volunteer Application

message Help us get the party started! Savannah Pride is seeking volunteers to help us get setup for the festival. This includes bringing any props that were stored away back out from our Uhauls/ storage, resetting our VIP tent, getting the game tents ready for the day, and a variety of other tasks to prepare for Saturday. After enjoy the entire day unless you want to stick around for additional shifts :)

message Get our Volunteers to where they are going! Savannah pride needs Volunteer Check-in Attendants to get everybody situated in their positions. We will provide a list, map, and staff contacts for reference. You will be the first point of contact for many in our festival community, so Enthusiasm about the event is encouraged :)

message Savannah pride is seeking a certified first aid, or first responder to run our first aid tent. We don't anticipate any injuries onsite, but accidents happen! Likely will just be helping any patrons with any scrapes or cuts, passing out band aids, ect. If any medical incident happens while on shift, will be required to assist Event Committee staff with some short paperwork after.

message Help us keep the scene clean! Savannah Pride is blessed to have our event in the heart of this beautiful city. We need volunteers to make sure we leave it how we found it. Duties will include picking up trash around the site, collecting full trash bags and replacing them with new ones. In addition to ensuring our future in Ellis Square, you might even find some cool stuff :)

message Savannah Pride needs help running the various games we will have for Savannah Pride Patrons! You will need to explain the game to patrons and collect their donation as this is a fundraising position. Because many of these games are geared towards youth and we will have volunteers from our youth group, this is a shift for parents, teachers, or other youth-related experience is required.

message Looking for a volunteer who is familiar with the First City Pride Center to help volunteer at the information table. Previous work with the organization is required, as you will be educating patrons on what is going on with the pride center. We can catch you up to speed if you have been out of touch recently, but ideally this position would be filled by outreach, program leaders, board or FDV.

message Savannah Pride is looking for a volunteer to help our internal volunteers run the official merchandise table! Selling shirts, hats and all available merch is essential to fundraising for the event, and we need your help to accomplish this. Sales or customer service experience is required.

message Savannah Pride needs your help checking in VIP guests, performers, and festival staff coming into the VIP tent. Sell VIP tickets, get our pre-registered guests their wristbands when they first arrive, and acquainted with the festival. Our VIP Director will help you as needed! Continue to help VIP with anything they may need during your shift as well.

message During our Meet and Greets with the performers, we are seeking volunteers to make sure people are waiting their turn and not crowding our 'celebrity' guests. The VIP tent can also get a bit crowded outside and we need your help to make sure our VIP guest have smooth access to their amenities.

message Savannah Pride is looking for a volunteer who has experience as a stagehand, or similar position. We will have a professional team working on our mainstage, but they will undoubtedly need our help to get through this busy weekend! Help Savannah Pride and gain valuable experience on our mainstage.
