We are excited to announce the inaugural Savor High Point international food festival in High Point, North Carolina! Visit High Point is curating a unique experience that will showcase global cuisines and cultures, setting the foundation for what we believe will become the Triad's premier food truck and vendor market.

About the application

Welcome to the Volunteer Application for Savor High Point, taking place on Saturday, June 21st, 2025! We're thrilled to have you here and appreciate your willingness to volunteer. If you have any questions as you browse through our application, please don't hesitate to reach out to Estelle Mangum at eventsintern@visithighpoint.com. Please note that all volunteers must be 18 years of age or older to work the event. Thank you for your interest in playing a part of this exciting, community-building festival!

Terms & Conditions

- Must be 18 years of age or older with a valid Government Issued ID. - Volunteers will receive a volunteer shirt during check-in. Volunteers are expected to wear their shirt at all times, while on duty. - Volunteers are strictly prohibited from possessing, selling, consuming, or being under the influence of alcohol or illegal drugs (and legal drugs that are not used in a manner consistent with accepted frequency or dosage requirements) while on the job. - Please be advised that there may not be space to store your personal items at your volunteer site. Please avoid bringing more than you need for your shift. If you wear something without pockets, we recommend bringing a small fanny pack, over-the- shoulder bag, or drawstring bag to keep your belongings easily with you. The Festival will not be responsible for any lost or damaged personal items. - Please remember to bring any items that will be needed in assisting you in functioning for the day (i.e., back or knee braces, wrist support, etc.). - We kindly remind volunteers that Savor High Point will occur in June, with temperatures potentially reaching anywhere from 80 to 100 degrees Fahrenheit. If individuals anticipate difficulty performing in such conditions, volunteering at this event may not be suitable for them. We recommend all volunteers bring necessary supplies, such as sunscreen and sunglasses, to ensure their comfort and protection during the event. - Please be aware that attendees at Savor High Point will be permitted to drink. If this policy conflicts with personal comfort levels or religious preferences volunteering at this event may not be suitable.

Expect to do any of the following tasks. - Set up signage around the venue - Set up food and beverage stations - Check vendors in - Direct vendors to correct set-up area - Monitor entry and exit points - Guide attendees to different sections - Report any issues to event staff and security - Monitor staff, volunteer, and vendor food - Other immediate needs - Greet guests as they arrive - Provide directions and information about the event - Help tidy up/clean the venue - Monitor attendee attendance and exit (Crowd Management)

This volunteer shift will likely include tear down/event cleanup. Volunteer tasks are subject to change throughout your shift. Expect to do any of the following tasks. - Monitor entry and exit points - Guide attendees to different sections - Report any issues to event staff and security - Monitor staff, volunteer, and vendor food - Other immediate needs - Thank guests for attending - Provide directions and information about the event - Help tidy up/clean the venue after the event - Account for vendor departure at the appropriate time - Monitor attendee attendance and exit (Crowd Management)
