Workday Volunteer Sign Up

Community Garden Workdays are scheduled throughout the year to care for the common areas of the Grow & Learn Garden at First Presbyterian Church, managed by Grow Oak Ridge. Volunteers who work 10 hours you will be considered a Seedling Level "Friend of Grow Oak Ridge." This entitles you to several perks throughout the year. Gardeners who rent a summer space in the garden MUST volunteer at least 7 of 10 organized workdays. These are for general maintenance of the common spaces of the garden, and not just your own space. Service hours for school, work or the Anderson County Master Gardener program are offered during these work days. Tell the manager on duty if you need proof of volunteering.

THE FINE PRINT… INDEMNITY CLAUSE (PLEASE READ BEFORE APPLYING TO VOLUNTEER). I am the individual named in this application. I agree to indemnify and hold harmless Grow Oak Ridge, First Presbyterian Church, and their directors, employees, representatives and agents, from and against all liability, claims, demands, losses, damages, levies and causes of action or suits of any nature whatsoever, arising out of or related to my activities with Grow Oak Ridge programs, gardens, markets, events, etc. I understand that Grow Oak Ridge may use my name and photograph for advertising purposes. I acknowledge that Grow Oak Ridge is not liable for injury during this activity and I am participating freely at my own risk. I recognize my participation is optional and voluntary. I assume full responsibility for any risks of loss, damage, or personal injury, including death, that I may sustain, or any loss or damage of property I own as a result of being engaged in such activity, whether caused by the negligence of Grow Oak Ridge or otherwise.
