Commitment: By applying for a Department Lead position, you commit to leading your assigned department for the full duration of the assigned event, including pre-festival planning and coordination.
Volunteer Expectations: Department Leads must work closely with Hampton Roads Pride Board and its volunteers/committees. Leads are expected to guide, support, and ensure their teams perform their duties effectively.
Communication: Department Leads must maintain open and ongoing communication with the Hampton Roads Pride Board, volunteers, and other department leads to ensure a smooth collaboration throughout the month.
Event Attendance: Department Leads must be present during the assigned events and must be available for key pre-festival meetings, training, and team briefings.
Safety & Inclusivity: Leads must adhere to all safety guidelines and policies set by Hampton Roads Pride. A commitment to inclusivity, diversity, and respect is expected at all times.
Approval: All applications will be reviewed by the Hampton Roads Pride leadership team. Selected Department Leads will be notified via email. Due to the high volume of applications, we may not be able to respond to every applicant.
