The Arlington Pride Code of Conduct is here to protect and ensure everyone has a favorable time at our event.
You are our Arlington Pride Ambassadors!!
You, the volunteers, are the public face of Arlington Pride. You will make it happen, smooth the way, inform, help and guide people you come in contact with. Arlington Pride wants you to have fun and enjoy your volunteering experience. Arlington Pride 2024 would not happen without your help and the time you give up is very much appreciated.
For safety and focus, we kindly ask that volunteers do not bring underage children to their shifts.
Volunteers will:
• Interact with one another and with members of the public in a professional, courteous, civil, dignified, respectful, fair and equitable manner. Perform their job functions in the best interest of Arlington Pride.
• Will not possess, use, sell, barter or bring any controlled /illegal /illicit drugs or drug paraphernalia to the event.
• No unwelcome or unruly sexual advances to attendees or employees. No means no.
• No alcohol consumption during your volunteer shift(s), when done volunteering you then are no longer representing Arlington Pride, but yourself. Please remove your PRIDE CREW shirt and have a great time.
• Agree not to hold Arlington Pride, it’s officers, sponsors, volunteers or any commercial establishment or its staff used in conjunction with the event responsible for any loss or injury either to their property or their person while participating at this event.
• Will not indulge in actions that could be considered discriminatory or racist.
• Will grant Arlington Pride or any other function of Arlington Pride the right to use their likeness, image, voice and appearance whether recorded on or transferred to videotape, film, slides, photographs or other media for publication or use on the web.
It is further understood that this is a public event and that Arlington Pride nor anyone can control people from making pictures public. Attendees should use good judgment, and discretion and respect people’s privacy before posting, tagging, or sharing photos of others or on social media sites.
