Downtown Christmas Parade Volunteer Application Terms and Conditions
By submitting this application, you agree to the following terms and conditions:
1. Commitment to Assigned Role
- Volunteers are expected to fully commit to the role they are assigned, including attending an orientation session and arriving on time on the day of the event. We ask that you complete all tasks assigned to the best of your ability.
2. Punctuality and Attendance
- All volunteers must check in at the designated time and location provided in the confirmation email. If for any reason you are unable to attend, please notify the Event Coordinator as soon as possible.
3. Dress Code and Personal Conduct
- Volunteers should dress appropriately for the weather and wear comfortable, event-appropriate attire, including any provided volunteer identification or badges. Volunteers are expected to conduct themselves professionally and courteously to ensure a safe and enjoyable environment for all participants.
4. Health and Safety
- Volunteers agree to follow all safety protocols and instructions provided by event staff. This includes wearing any required safety gear, maintaining awareness of surroundings, and notifying staff of any hazards. Volunteers should be in good physical condition to perform their assigned duties and inform the Volunteer Coordinator if they have any limitations.
5. Respectful Interaction
- Volunteers must treat all event attendees, participants, staff, and other volunteers with respect. Harassment, discrimination, or inappropriate behavior of any kind will not be tolerated and may result in immediate dismissal from the event.
6. Liability Waiver
- By participating as a volunteer, you assume full responsibility for your actions and acknowledge that you are volunteering at your own risk. The Downtown Fresno Partnership is not liable for any injuries, loss, or damages that may occur during the event, except in cases of gross negligence or intentional misconduct by event staff.
7. Confidentiality
- Volunteers may be provided with access to event information that is not public. By participating, you agree to keep such information confidential and refrain from sharing it without authorization.
8. Photography and Media Release
- Volunteers consent to being photographed or recorded during the event. Downtown Fresno Partnership reserves the right to use photos or videos for promotional purposes, including on social media, websites, and marketing materials. If you do not wish to be photographed, please notify the Volunteer Coordinator before the event.
9. Volunteer Termination
- The Downtown Fresno Partnership reserves the right to dismiss any volunteer for failure to adhere to these terms and conditions, non-compliance with instructions, or behavior that disrupts the event or endangers others.
10. Minimum Age Requirement
- Volunteers must be at least [16 years old] or have parental consent to participate. Volunteers under 18 years old may need to submit a signed waiver from a parent or guardian.
11. Cancellation Policy
- In case of cancellation of the event due to unforeseen circumstances (such as severe weather), volunteers will be notified as soon as possible. Volunteers may be reassigned to future events or have the opportunity to help with related holiday activities.
