10/25/2024 Message to Volunteers:
Hi Beer Tent Volunteer Team:
Thank you so much for signing up to volunteer at our beer tent at the Dallas Halloween Block Party on Cedar Springs (and for getting your TABC certification!).
BOOTH LOCATION: Our Pride Frisco Beer Tent (booth #5) will be in front of the Round-Up Saloon, as you can see in the attached map (pdf).
ARRIVAL TIME: still 6:00 PM
Go straight to our tent after you arrive.
If you're able to come earlier and would like to join us (not required), Justin and I will be at S4 (back entrance) going through staff orientation at 4:30 PM. We will get all the information and relay them to our team.
END TIME: still 1AM, Sunday (pls be careful when walking back to your car. good idea to bring a pocket flash light with you.) Caven will supply lighting in our booth and will be responsible for all the infrastructure required. We will have a walkie talkie to communicate with them.
PARKING: Personalized Learning Preparatory at Sam Houston
2827 Throckmorton St., Dallas 75219
Early arrival, carpooling, ridesharing highly recommended.
ATTIRE: costumes in good taste, please, are encouraged, but they should not restrict your movement. They also cannot have any beer or liquor logos. Think vibrant colors, easily recognizable characters, etc. will naturally draw more people to our booth. Please arrive in your costumes.
TABC LICENSE: print out a copy and have it on you just in case.
MOBILE USE: anticipate there will be zero signal available by 10PM or earlier. The weather should be excellent so that means we can expect a HUGE CROWD, which will likely over-saturate cellular capacity. Don't count on usable wifi, either.
GENERAL: please convey to all patrons that ALL tips, cash and debit/credit, will be going to CHARITY - PRIDE FRISCO. We will have table signs with our logo, website, and social handle, but it's always good to verbally let people know (with a smile, of course :)
Finally, it's going to be a great event. Let's have a great time with each other, make new friends, meet new people, and earn some donations for Pride Frisco to support the work we do for LGBTQIA+ folks in Frisco and the surrounding communities, which include Dallas and beyond!
Thank you!! See you all tomorrow at 6PM or earlier.

PS. I will be at several events tomorrow prior to 4:30PM so may not be able to respond to your texts, emails, and calls immediately or by the time we are supposed to meet.
