About the event

The High Point Holiday Stroll is back! The High Point Holiday Stroll is an annual celebration that brings the community together for a day of festive activities, shopping, dining, and holiday fun. Attendees can enjoy local vendors, open houses, carriage rides, and entertainment for everyone, all while exploring High Point’s unique charm. It’s the perfect way to support small businesses and experience the holiday spirit throughout the city. The event will be Saturday, December 7th, 2024, from 10am to 4pm on North Main Street and adjacent streets! We’re excited to share some exciting updates for this year’s Holiday Stroll—check out what’s new! 🎄 What’s New in 2024 🎄 -Brand Refresh: You may have already noticed; the High Point Holiday Stroll has a fresh new look! We’ve blended tradition with innovation to better reflect the spirit of High Point. We are deeply grateful for Elizabeth’s leadership over the past 14 years, and are pleased to have her continued guidance as she supports us throughout this transition. -Expanded Experiences: This year, we’re adding more excitement with new adult activities, extra vendor markets, a Kids Zone, and free horse-drawn carriage rides. About the application

Welcome to the Volunteer Application for the 15th Annual High Point Holiday Stroll! The Holiday Stroll will be on Saturday, December 7, 2024, 10:00am - 4:00pm. We are looking for volunteers to help with set-up, various tasks throughout the event, and breaking down the event. We have several shifts to choose from, or you may volunteer for the entirety of the event. We're thrilled to have you here and appreciate your willingness to volunteer. If you have any questions as you browse through our application, please don't hesitate to reach out to Kayla Quick at kquick@visithighpoint.com. Please note that all volunteers are encouraged to attend the training sessions before the event. A specific date and time for this training session will be announced at a later date. Additionally, please note that all volunteers must be 18 years of age or older to work the event. Thank you for your interest in playing a part of this exciting, community-building evening!

Terms & Conditions

- Must be 18 years of age or older with a valid Government-issued ID. - Volunteers are strictly prohibited from possessing, selling, consuming, or being under the influence of alcohol or illegal drugs (and legal drugs that are not used in a manner consistent with accepted frequency or dosage requirements) while on the job. - The Holiday Strolll is a rain or shine event. - Please be advised that there may not be space to store your personal items at your volunteer site. Please avoid bringing more than you need for your shift. - If you wear something without pockets, we recommend bringing a small fanny pack, over-the- shoulder bag, or drawstring bag to keep your belongings easily with you. - The Holiday Stroll will not be responsible for any lost or damaged personal items. - Please remember to bring any items that will be needed in assisting you in functioning for the day (i.e., back or knee braces, wrist support, etc.).

We are looking for volunteers who are flexible and able to move between different positions as needed. Some of your responsibilities may include: - Greeting attendees upon arrival -Assisting attendees with photo opportunities - Checking attendees into activities - Collecting toys and clothes donations - Supporting Santa as a helper - Supervising the kids zone - Monitoring attendees safety - Supporting carriage ride check-in - Helping attendees navigate the Stroll Your adaptability and willingness to step into various roles will help make this event a success!
