message This shift will be pulling out the barriers to create the racecourse, hanging sponsorship banners along the barriers with zip ties, and setting up the merchandise table in the 700 block of Manitou Ave. Some of you will be sent down to Hiawatha Gardens Parking Lot for setting up tents, tables, and signs for the Mustangers. Team Registration begins at 8am, so we’re going to need to rush around to get those set up, but it shouldn’t take too long.

message Vendors will be arriving by 8am, so your main goal is to get everyone unloaded and in their correct space so that they can move their vehicle out of the way. You’ll also need to help tape signage along fences and the pavilion. Vendors start selling by 10am with alcohol sales beginning at 11am.

message Monitor the people coming into the parking lot and do not allow anyone without a parking pass to park in the coned spots in the Wichita Parking Lot. Two people stationed at the main entrance and two people stationed on Lovers Lane.

message Shuttles begin departing from this parking lot at 10am. Hand out the event brochures to people taking the shuttles. You will not be handling any of the money. Typically, by 11:45/noon everything has slowed down enough that the people with this shift can take the shuttle for free and be dropped off to enjoy the rest of the day.

message We need to watch vehicles parking behind the pavilion at all times and monitor to make sure only 10 vehicles are parked at a time. One person will do that while another person ensures that only vehicles with parking permits are parking on Park Ave next to Soda Springs Park.

message Selling merchandise in the 700 Block of Manitou Ave before and during the races. You must be willing to temporarily download the Square App onto your phone for running sales through the system.

message Make sure people sitting in the VIP bleachers are checked in and only those with VIP tickets are sitting in the bleachers. This shift gives you a perfect viewing spot of the finish line! One person will be stationed at the ADA area to ensure that it's not being used by non-ADA people.

message Parade line up and floater jobs as needed.

message Help the Mustangers tear down everything and place our tables/tents/chairs/boxes inside the building at Hiawatha Gardens Parking Lot.

message This shift requires different tasks to be completed, including but not limited to - selling tokens for alcohol, IDing every person who purchases a token, putting wrist bands on everyone who purchases a token, selling merchandise, re-stocking merchandise, taking turns monitoring the recycling area, and collecting used tokens while keeping track of the numbers from each vendor.

message After the parade and races, we need to walk up and down the street and make sure that trash has been removed from the street/sidewalks. You also need to remove the sponsor banners from the fencing. It's easy and does not take long to complete! Our goal is to get the roads open as soon as possible after the races.
