About the event

The North Carolina Blackberry Festival is a celebration of blackberries, cobbler, and fun! Held in Lenoir, North Carolina, the festival offers tons of family-friendly events. There's free music, kid's activities, and a blackberry-eating contest. We have delicious blackberry cobbler for sale, while it lasts! You can find all sorts of tasty festival food and shop from hundreds of vendors. We even have a Blackberry Cobbler Parade! So, come get your fill of fun and blackberries during the North Carolina Black Berry Festival! Hosted by the Downtown Lenoir Development Alliance in partnership with Downtown Lenoir, the festival is in its twenty-first year.

About the application

Thank you for your willingness to volunteer for the Blackberry Festival. There are many shifts and roles that need to be filled. The Festival volunteers hours run from 11:00am - 9:00pm on Friday, July 12th, and 8:00am - 10:00pm on Saturday, July 13th so pick a shift that fits your schedule. We need many hands to make this a successful festival. Remember that your time and talents are the backbone of this team.

Each shift is scheduled with a 30-minute overlap. We you arrive for your shift please check-in at Volunteer HQ located at 127 N Main St. At check-in you will be given the following: your t-shirt, a bottle of water, a snack, a radio (one for each colored zone), a lanyard, a pat on the back and a high-five. When your shift is finished, please return the radio to Volunteer HQ.
