About the application

Shifts are 2-4 hours. Volunteers who apply by May 18th, 2024 & work a minimum of 4 hours will be guaranteed a T-shirt in their preferred size. Volunteers for the Wine Tasting must be 18+. Volunteers who are 21+ and volunteer for the Wine Tasting will receive a free Wine Tasting. Volunteers for the general shifts must be 14+.

INDEMNITY - By submitting this application, I agree to indemnify and hold harmless Lavender Festival, Jackson Square Association and its members, and the City of Oak Ridge, their officers, employees, and agents for any claims, damage costs and attorney fees for injuries or damages arising from our participation in Lavender Festival. PERMISSION - I give permission for the use of the images supplied with this application, for promotional purposes. - I give permission to link my website from the promoter's web page.

Volunteers will help unload our storage unit into a box truck, then unload in Jackson Square. Tasks include: packing & unloading tables and chairs for the seating area, setting up signs around the venue, & hanging sponsors banner for the Herb Luncheon. Must be able to lift 30 pounds.

We start early since it is cooler outside and we can get done as soon as possible for a buffer time before the event. Volunteers will help with general festival set up. Tasks include: packing & unloading tables and chairs for the seating area for the Herb Luncheon, setting up signs around the venue, & hanging sponsors banner for the Herb Luncheon. Must be able to lift 30 pounds.

Volunteers will help pick up trash from around the festival venue & break down tents, tables, and chairs from the event. We may not be working until 8 pm, depending on the number of volunteers signed up and how quickly we move.
