Get a FREE Lunch! We are accepting volunteer applications up through Oct. 4, 2024! IF you sign up after Sep. 15 you must reach out to schedule a training session with the volunteer coordinator. You can message me via Eventeny. IF you want to sign up for Site Set-Up but it is full, please feel free to come out that weekend and we will find a job for you to do. Site Set-Up is physically demanding, please be prepared and wear clothes that can get dirty and bring work gloves. We're looking for volunteers for various departments during the weekend of the event: 1. Cast: Audition required to be a cast member - please see cast application. 2. Front Gate: Cash handling experience is helpful. 3. Stage Runners: Keep the entertainers on time. 4. Bar Assistants: Garb required - run errands for the tavern. 5. Vendor Envoys: Help the vendor manager. 6. Info Booth: Give out Knight's Quest cards and sell merchandise. 7. Family Games Area: Oversee free games and activities for children. 8. Site Set-up and Strike: Earn your free ticket by helping set up or strike the event - see construction department for available shifts 9. Construction: Earn your free ticket by assisting in building the set for the event in the months leading up to the event - see construction dept for available shifts.

The required forms that need to be filled out and signed can be printed and brought with you to the training meeting or you can fill out the virtual form in the Contracts Section of the Spokane Renaissance Faire. It is labeled Volunteer Contract.

A group of volunteers will be assisting the Vendor Manager and other members of management during Vendor check-in. Most of this shift will be spent running across the field from one place to another showing vendors where to go and who to talk to. Radio experience is a plus but not necessary, this is a fast-paced position and very important to a successful event.

Our family games area will consist of a Boffer Arena (run by their company employees), a mermaid pond, the Gossamer Glade (fairy tent/crafts), and free games for children to play at their own risk such as the catapults and other easy games. This is fun to do with a friend or two, or come alone and make new friends!

A group of volunteers will be assigned to a specific area where line control is necessary to keep patrons safe and on the correct route to the Front Gate.

A team of volunteers will work together to ensure that they are aware of each stage's performance and make sure that the performer is ready to go on at least 5 minutes before their scheduled time. There will be areas set up behind each stage for performers and volunteers to keep their belongings. Water and snacks will be available as well. All volunteers must attend a volunteer training class on September 15 to sign all necessary paperwork and receive training for their position.

A group of volunteers will pair up and walk or drive around the site picking up and disposing of articled of waste that have been left on the ground. A UTV will be available to drive a small trailer around to collect garbage bags that are full from the receptacles spread out over the faire site. There will be a dumpster available to dispose of the collected waste.

Led by the Combat Vet Riders, our security team will spend time at the front gate, the tavern, or walking the site keeping drama to a minimum. The Combat Vet Riders have experience with Event Security and are happy to instruct additional volunteers if needed.

The Tavern Manager has graciously offered a position in the tavern as a lackey of some sort or another. You get to dress up and act like someone else for a day and have fun doing it! IF you have your MAST license you might get to do something other than be a "Go Fer".
