About the application

• This application is for Sanctuary Crew only. Volunteers are the heartbeat of The Heron and we are appreciative that you are willing to earn a weekend pass by contributing your time and energy! Sanctuary aims to provide peer support and a safe space for festival patrons undergoing a difficult psychedelic or emotional experience. We offer compassionate care providing harm reduction and festival first aid, while working inclusively with medical First Aid and Security teams to co-create a safe environment. • Volunteers are required to give 9 hours of their time in exchange for a festival wristband and red lot parking pass. More perks may be available if able to commit to more hours. ** Please note that submitting this form does not guarantee you will be scheduled to volunteer with us. Volunteers must complete and upload the waiver form. All Sanctuary volunteers will need to be trained by Sanctuary staff and approved to volunteer. ** The personal information you provide is for the private records of the Sanctuary Project, and will not be disclosed to any individual, group, or the public without your consent. ** ** “The Psychedelic Society of Western New York does not engage in or promote illegal activities of any kind. Do not get involved in buying or sell illicit substances." ** Here’s how our volunteer process works: • Fill out an application and choose the crew you’d like to work with • We’ll email to let you know that you’ve been accepted • We’ll communicate again when your schedule is ready • You’ll be emailed a volunteer weekend ticket • Arrive at the gate to get your wristband • Check in 15 minutes before your shifts with your crew chiefs • Work your shifts and enjoy yourself! • We’ll return your deposit after the event if one was required • Meals or vehicle camping stickers are NOT included, UNLESS you are scheduled for extra hours, take a leadership position, and are granted these extras from volunteer coordination. • Returning Volunteers: Please login with your previous credentials and fill out the new application for 2024. Please understand that many aspects of the festival may be different than in the past and our coordination team is still new at this. They will be doing their best to find the best placement and schedule for you. • New Volunteers: Fill out your application and be ready to submit a deposit of $110. This is required for anyone volunteering for their first year. You will be e-mailed an invoice for the deposit after your application is approved by our coordination team • This application is for Sanctuary Crew only.

Terms & Conditions

By submitting this application, you are agreeing to work the shifts agreed upon. Any no-call no-show's will potentially be terminated from the volunteer system and/or asked to leave the grounds.
