Multicultural Festival Volunteers

message Check-in vendors / Assist with vendors loading in product. Help drive product on a golf cart, show vendor to their space and ensure they set up within their space parameters.

message Manning a parking lot entrance and checking parking passes to allow entry into the parking lot / directing folks who should not be there to turn around. Tent and chair provided for volunteer

message Under staff supervision and direction, volunteers in this category will assist with the general set-up of event equipment including but not necessarily limited to tents, chairs, tables, install signs and banners. Volunteers in this assignment may be asked to carry equipment of 20-30 lbs. with assistance at various times through the assignment hours.

message Volunteers will assist stage manager with attending to logistical needs of festival performers at both the music and dance stage. This may include loading water into ice chests, monitoring access to backstage areas, collect and make sure waivers are filled out and other duties as assigned by the stage managers. Breaks will be given.

message Volunteers in this area will be assisting with interactive activities which may include children's craft projects, art crafts, or other activities as needed.

message Volunteers in this assignment will encourage and assist Festival guests to sign the City's diversity pledge.

message Greet visitors, provide art show pamphlets. Assist with People's Choice Award voting process.

message As a greeter you will be stationed in the Community Center Lobby helping guide attendees to the various activities inside the Community Center and Senior Center, answering questions about the Festival, programming etc.

message Help kids art instructors guide kids on an art project / oversee kids as they partake in an art project / help with some light set-up and clean up

message Check pass for band, ensure fire lane is kept open and bands unload/load and promptly move to park elsewhere. Ensure that there is never two cars double parked and one lane of the fire lane remains open for access at all times.

message As a floater you will be assigned to various tasks so others may take breaks and/or fill in for a no-show.

message Volunteers will work in teams of 2 to pick up signage, litter in the food court seating areas and around the festival grounds as needed.

message Volunteers in this assignment will encourage and assist Festival guests to sign the City's diversity pledge.
