Volunteers

6 volunteers will help park the checked-in vehicles on N Georgia Ave. The vehicles will be backed into parking spots, 2 vehicles deep. Once N Georgia is full, vehicles will be directed to line up inside the 4plex, behind all of our special entries. Those vehicles will be the last vehicles to be let onto the parade route, all of the special entries will go before them. 2 volunteers will go up to Hanford St. for the large vehicle entry check-in and lining them up in order according to the parade lineup. As vehicles arrive, they will line up in the middle of Hanford Street. At 5:30pm, you will send one vehicle at a time onto Grant Rd to line up in the correct order. You will pull them out of the Hanford line and send them onto Grant Rd based on where in the lineup they are. These vehicles will stop before reaching N Georgia and wait to be waived into the parade by the Event Director.

These positions will make sure that the entries and vehicles in the 4plex are arranged properly. Each special entry, such as marching bands, will have a designated spot that is numbered and posted on the outfield fence. The dignitaries are also lined up in one of the fields and have corresponding numbers listed on the fence. The dignitaries also have large, static cling, decals that you need to apply to both sides of their vehicles. Once the parade starts, you will help guide the entries out of the 4plex and onto N Georgia to head out onto the parade route. You will be given the parade order, so you can send the entries out at the correct time. This is a fun job with lots of interactions with community members.

Stand at the corner of 3rd & N Georgia Ave and direct traffic. Ask each driver if they have pre-registered, if so, they can enter N Georgia Ave. If they have not, then direct them to park along 3rd Street and walk over to the registration table along the fence line of N Georgia Ave. Once check-in is complete, the volunteers will make sure no more cars enter the area until the Event Director has deemed it safe and the road can be opened up.

Volunteers will be checking in the pre-registered vehicles as they drive up. They will be standing, with either an iPad or a clipboard, and approaching the vehicles windows asking for their names to check them into the parade. They'll see if the participant receives a goody bag and what size t-shirt, then tell their assistant what size shirt to grab.

You will help the person checking in the vehicles by grabbing the goody bags and t-shirt sizes that they need.

Volunteers will help park vehicles in the 4plex. The vehicles will be parked on the marked, white lines in the outfield grass. We will fill the front 2 fields first, then expand onto the back 2 fields.

Pre-Registered participants will check-in and receive their dash cards and didn't participate in the parade, they will also receive their goody bag and t-shirts. Not all participants receive a goody bag and t-shirt though, they needed to be registered prior to April 12 to receive the goody bag and t-shirt.

Greet people as they walk into the park, help keep car show participants from driving through the event and leaving early.

Sit inside the events trailer and answer any questions, help count votes, and be of assistance to the public that is attending the event.
