Trashion~Fashion Show From Historical to Hysterical: April 22 Free entry! Trash Bash from 2-4pm, come out and relax and refresh in the beer garden and learn about Earth Day & New Bern’s 1st Annual Trashion~Fashion Show! Contest happens live Saturday, April 22nd, Earth Day, in front of the New Bern Civic Theatre on the 400 block of Pollock Street from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Outrageous head-to-toe designs made from recycled materials, trash, donations, found objects, and shiny things will walk the runway on 2 or 4 legs! Yes, there will be a voting category for pets struttin’ solo or as a team with their owners. Enjoy all of the one-of-a-kind designer outfits handmade by community members who answered the challenge to turn trash into wearable art for humans and their pets. Guaranteed over-the-top fun at this Arts in April street fest event.  The audience will help select winners for cash and prizes. The Athens lobby will be open for snacks and refreshments and we’ll all be doing our part to share some kindness with each other and to our earth. How to Get Involved: Enter to WIN! VOLUNTEER! If you’re stuck for an idea or materials start @ the Trashion~Fashion Open Studio Workshop New Bern Civic Studio 412 Pollock St.  Saturday, April 14th, from 2:00PM – 5:00PM Come for access to a studio space, tools, free supplies, and recycled materials to work on your human and/or pet designs! It’s free to participate in the workshop but registration is required.
