Festival of the Grape Volunteer Application

Various areas of setup to include: setting out festival signs packing wine glasses from shed marking vendor spots with paint assisting arrival of vendors to festival setup assisting office with volunteer bin/ t-shirt pickup

This volunteer position will meet at the Chamber office (3860 Old Buckingham Road) at 5:45 AM. Volunteers will guide vendors into their designated booth space in various sections of the Courthouse Village. A list of vendors and a map of your corresponding area will be provided. Vendor check-in is from 7:00 AM until the Festival starts at 11:00 AM.

This shift is for SUNDAY morning after the Festival (10/8/23). Volunteers will walk the Festival footprint picking up papers/trash to ensure the Village businesses are returned to their original condition. Locations include the Courthouse lawn, Yates Lane, Old Buckingham Road, Marian Harland Lane, and scan of Powhatan Elementary/ Middle School parking lots. Gloves/trash bags are provided.

This shift will help prepare the West Gate for the Festival. Duties could include setting up tables, wine glasses, and festival items. This location is at the corner of Old Buckingham Road/ Rosson Rd. (closest to Wells Fargo).

This shift will help the West Gate for the Festival. Duties could include checking IDs, applying wristbands, taking cash or card payments, and handing out wine glasses. This location is at the corner of Old Buckingham Road/Rosson Rd. (closest to Wells Fargo).

This shift will help the East Gate for the Festival. Duties could include checking IDs, applying wristbands, taking cash or card payments, and handing out wine glasses. This location is at the corner of Old Buckingham Road/Marian Harland Lane (close to 1933 Public House restaurant).

This shift will help the West Gate for the Festival. Duties could include checking IDs, applying wristbands, taking cash or card payments, and handing out wine glasses. This location is at the corner of Old Buckingham Road/Rosson Rd. (closest to Wells Fargo).

This shift will help the East Gate for the Festival. Duties could include checking IDs, applying wristbands, taking cash or card payments, and handing out wine glasses. This location is at the corner of Old Buckingham Road/Marian Harland Lane (close to 1933 Public House restaurant).

This shift will help the West Gate for the Festival. Duties could include checking IDs, applying wristbands, taking cash or card payments, and handing out wine glasses. This location is at the corner of Old Buckingham Road/Rosson Rd. (closest to Wells Fargo).

This shift will help the East Gate for the Festival. Duties could include checking IDs, applying wristbands, taking cash or card payments, and handing out wine glasses. This location is at the corner of Old Buckingham Road/ Marian Harland Lane (close to 1933 Public House).

This shift will help the West Gate for the Festival. Duties could include checking IDs, applying wristbands, taking cash or card payments, and handing out wine glasses. This location is at the corner of Old Buckingham Road/Rosson Rd. (closest to Wells Fargo).

*This shift will assist with cleanup at the close of the Festival. Volunteers will help close down the East Gate for the Festival. Duties could include placing all festival items back in the bin, bagging trash, bringing it to the Chamber office, and closing leftover wine glass boxes. The event company will break down the tent and tables. This location is at the corner of Old Buckingham Road/ Marian Harland Lane (close to 1933 Public House restaurant).

*This shift will assist with cleanup at the close of the Festival. Volunteers will help close down the West Gate for the Festival. Duties could include placing all festival items in the bin, bagging trash, bringing it to the Chamber office, and closing leftover wine glass boxes. The event company will break down the tent and tables. This location is at the corner of Old Buckingham Road/ Rosson Rd. (closest to Wells Fargo).
