About the event

Peoria Proud, and its producing partners, proudly present the 2024 River City Pride Festival. There are LOTS of new features and options for this year thanks to the community feedback, check them out! The River City Pride Festival, one of our key programs, is a day-long event of engaging programming and festivities to support awareness of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, questioning and allied (LGBTQA) community of Peoria, IL, and the greater Central Illinois area. In 2022, our inaugural event at Riverfront Park hosted 30 vendors and sponsors and boasted 5,000 attendees throughout the course of the day. The 2023 event expanded its footprint along the riverfront park and featured two stages of live entertainment and 100 vendors. Peoria Proud encourages and supports diversity and equity throughout Central Illinois. The coalition seeks to unify the community as a whole, through advocacy, education, and social outreach.

About the application

Thank you for volunteering with River City Pride Fest! Please be sure to complete this form in its entirety. There are lots of shifts for all ages and abilities in increments of three (3) hours. If you need accommodations please let us know. We will do our best to ensure you are able to fulfill your shift. All volunteers will have free admittance to the festival after their shift, or prior to if you have the last shift of the evening. We will do our best to honor your shift and volunteer area preferences. This cannot be guaranteed. This event is being held outside, on Saturday July 20th, 2024. Please dress and prepare accordingly. All volunteers will complete a training and receive a t-shirt to wear prior to the day of the festival.

Terms & Conditions

18 and older. No consumption of drugs or alcohol prior to or during your volunteer shift. We reserve the right to remove volunteer privileges for any reason. Please be respectful of all patrons and fellow volunteers.
