About the application

The Village's annual Septemberfest parade kicks off Labor Day, following a two (2) mile route ending adjacent to the festival grounds. The parade includes approximately 100 units, and is an annual favorite of young and old. There is no parade theme to follow. Entry Deadline:
July 1, 2023 for those requiring payment to participate.August 1, 2023 for all other applications.

About the event

An outdoor festival featuring entertainment on three stages, a carnival, arts & crafts show, craft beer & wine area, Taste of Schaumburg, Not-for-Profit Day, Bingo, free pony rides on Saturday, fireworks on Sunday evening, and a Labor Day parade on Monday.

Terms & Conditions

The applicant agrees to abide by all applicable Village of Schaumburg ordinances; by the Septemberfest guidelines; and by the terms of this application and related materials. The applicant further agrees to accept all future modifications in the application made and communicated by the Septemberfest Committee. The applicant acknowledges that the Septemberfest Committee has the authority to govern the conduct and organizations of the parade and agrees to abide by all the decisions made on the day of the parade by the Septemberfest Committee, Village of Schaumburg, Village of Schaumburg officials and employees, and other authorized agents. The applicant acknowledges receipt of the parade information and accepts all such materials as part of this application. The applicant agrees that it/he/she is responsible for the safety of the unit(s), property associated therewith, and persons affiliated with the entry in the parade. Should the unit or any property connected therewith be damaged or destroyed, or should affiliated persons be injured, the applicant agrees to indemnify the Septemberfest Committee, Village of Schaumburg, Village of Schaumburg officials and employees, and other authorized agents. The applicant further agrees to hold harmless those same parties from: any and all liability for injury to, or death of, persons at the event; and from damage and/or destruction of property caused by the applicant.
