About the event

The City of Mountain View, Arkansas welcomes everyone to the 61st Annual Arkansas Folk Festival April 14th and 15th. Take a walk around the historic downtown area and see many window displays, the Artisans Market featuring handmade arts and crafts, antique cars, food vendors, and of course, live music! The parade is Saturday and begins at 10 a.m. The Ozark Folk Center has free shuttle service to and from the court square. Bring your instruments and have some fun with us pickin' and grinnin'!

Terms & Conditions

You may set up Wednesday evening, HOWEVER, if you set up Wednesday you MUST be open for business on Thursday, April 13th, 2023. 
 

1. HOURS: The concession business hours shall be beginning Friday, April 14, 2023, at 12:00 noon (CDT) and shall continue in operation through Saturday, April 15th, 2023, at 6:00 pm (CDT). You may stay later than 6:00 PM on Saturday.
The Vendor Committee Chair must approve any exceptions. 
 

MENU: The food vendor agrees to include only food and/or beverages authorized by the View Area Chamber of Commerce as per application submitted and discussed with Vendor Committee Chair.
 
Please include below the menu for your food booth. The menu is important because we do not want to overlap menu items so everyone can sell what they have. If you do not follow this menu or get written approval from the Vendor Committee prior to the Festival, then you may be asked to leave or be barred from future consideration. 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
TERMINATION OF RIGHTS:
The Chamber of Commerce reserves the right to terminate the operation of the For-Profit Food Vendor at any time if the product being sold is not of the highest quality as determined by the Mountain View Area Chamber of Commerce Vendor Committee. 
 
The Chamber of Commerce reserves the right to terminate this agreement at any time if For-Profit Food Vendor, in the judgement of the Chamber, violates the provisions of the Health Department; fails to co-operate with the representatives of the Chamber; breaches any of the agreements herein; or causes acts breaching security issues. Please keep all food within the food preparation area!
 
There is a limited amount of space for commercial and non-commercial vendors, therefore space is limited by the discretion of the chamber to keep a safe amount of distance and safety between vendors.
 
The For-Profit Food Vendor may terminate the Contract with written notice in a reasonable length of time, and with good reason, or if unable to fulfill the contract because of health reasons.
 
COMMISSIONS AND PAYMENT:
In exchange for the right to sell food and beverages during the festival, the For-Profit Food Vendor agrees to pay the Mountain View Area Chamber of Commerce a fee of $400.00 plus a $50.00 clean-up and utility fee. Totaling $450.00 non-refundable. (Chamber Members receive a $100.00 discount)
 
This contract must be completed and returned with full payment no later than Tuesday, March 15, 2023, or you may be disqualified from participating in the 61st Arkansas Folk Festival. Payment of entry fee must be received included with contract or the contract will not be accepted. Payment must be in the form of a Check. Make payable and mail check to MVACC P.O. Box 133 Mtn. View, AR 72560 ($50 return check fee and 5-year ban from festival participation)

Prices on all items sold by the For-Profit Food Vendor shall include sales tax if applicable. The Food Vendor shall be responsible for the collection and payment of any tax upon the gross receipts, as required by Arkansas Law. 
 
PREMISES:
a. The For-Profit Food Vendor warrants that the premises shall be left in the same condition that they were found. Vendor should make every attempt to keep area around trailer clean. This includes picking up trash and no dumping of grease or any refuse in the vending area. Additionally, this includes securing napkins, straws, or other items that tend to blow around or be spilled. Any large items such as boxes, oil containers, etc. shall be place in dumpsters, not the 55-gallon trash barrels.  
 

b. Electrical hook-ups shall be provided. The Chamber of Commerce does not provide ice to vendors. You are responsible for supplying you own ice.
 

SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR VENDORS: 
 
a. Vendors must have enough people to operate the concession; however, loitering in the designated vending area will not be allowed. A maximum of 8 people will be allowed in the vending area at one time. 
 

b. All sidewalks and walkways around the vending area shall be always kept clear for walking traffic (NO EXCEPTIONS)
