This application is for organizations/individuals who do not meet the criteria of the school, downtown Belmont merchant, or non-profit application and wish to decorate a tree in Stowe Park for the 6th Annual Festival of Trees. Complete this application if you are applying as a:

About the event

Enjoy a stroll through Stowe Park from November 28th - December 31st to enjoy a display of festive trees decorated by local organizations. Free to attend.

Terms & Conditions

Information & Expectations
First-place bragging rights will be awarded for each of the following categories:

Non-Profit Organizations
School
Downtown Merchant
For-Profit Organizations

Trees will be judged on theme, uniqueness, creativity, and overall presentation.

An event map will be published online, directing visitors to your tree.

Please note there will be 45 trees available in Stowe Park, and they will be filled on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Important Dates

Application opens - October 23, 2023
Application deadline - November 17, 2023
Tree decorating begins - November 18, 2023
Tree decoration deadline - Monday, November 27th (all trees decorated by 3:00 PM)
Tree lighting ceremony (at City Hall) - Monday, November 27th at 6:30 PM
Remove tree decorations - January 1st - 7th, 2024
Stowe Park tree removal - Begins January 8, 2024
Any decorations remaining on the date of Stowe Park tree removal (see above) will be discarded along with the tree.

Rules and Criteria

The City of Belmont will provide live trees & tree lights in Stowe Park
Groups decorating a tree in Stowe Park must provide weatherproof decorations that are securely attached to the tree (trees may be subject to harsh weather and high winds)
Public Works will activate Stowe Park lights on Monday, November 27th

Tree themes must be family-friendly
City of Belmont will provide a sign for each tree, including the organization/business name, tree theme, and logo.
A tree theme and organization logo must be provided as part of this application.
As this is a public display, the City of Belmont is not responsible for lost, stolen, and/or damaged items.
Do not block walkways during the decoration process.
Do not leave trash behind after decorating.
Trees may not be moved under any circumstance.

For Profit Organization - Application Fee	$200.00		This event is centered around local schools, non profit organizations, and downtown merchants. As such, there is a fee associated for private organizations applying to participate in the event.
