The Schererville Parks Department, in partnership with the Town of Schererville, is excited to announce the debut of our Pennsy Pints and Performers event — a vibrant two-day celebration in Downtown Schererville that mirrors the high-energy scale of our Schererville Fest. This brand-new event will showcase a dynamic mix of live music, 15 curated food trucks, local beer gardens, craft vendors, and a family-friendly bike ride on Saturday afternoon. This event will offer exclusivity to participating food vendors — meaning only one vendor per food category will be selected (exceptions made for common beverages and snacks).

IMPORTANT FOOD VENDOR DETAILS:

• Event Dates & Hours:

  • Friday, August 15th | 5:00 PM – 11:30 PM

  • Saturday, August 16th | 2:00 PM – 11:30 PM

• Mandatory Set-Up Time:

  • Friday, August 15th from 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM ONLY

  • No early or late setups will be permitted.

• What’s Included with Your Application Fee:

  • (1) Food truck space

  • (1) Electrical hookup

  • (1) Water hookup

• Need more power or water?

  • Additional 220V plug: $100 per plug (plus tax/fees)

  • Additional 110V plug: $50 per plug (plus tax/fees)

APPLICATION TIMELINE:

• Application Deadline: Friday, May 9th, 2025

• Vendor Selection Notifications: Friday, May 30th, 2025

• Payment Due: Friday, May 30th, 2025 (no late payments accepted)

REQUIREMENTS & REMINDERS:

• Vendors must provide their own equipment and a food-grade hose.

• Certificate of Insurance is required, listing the Town of Schererville as additional insured (see insurance section below).

• All vendors MUST display:

  • A County Health Permit

  • A 10 lb. ABC Fire Extinguisher with current certification tag

• Refunds or Transfers are NOT available for this event.

• Your booth must be fully operational during all scheduled hours.

NEW THIS YEAR: FOOD VENDOR EXCLUSIVITY

To enhance the experience for both vendors and attendees, each food vendor selected will have exclusive rights to their food type. This policy encourages a more diverse and profitable experience. (This does not apply to standard drinks/snacks like lemonade, bottled water, etc.)

INDEMNIFICATION & INSURANCE REQUIREMENTS:

Vendors must carry $1,000,000 liability insurance, including product and premises liability. The policy must name the Town of Schererville, Schererville Parks & Recreation Board, and all authorized agents and employees as additionally insured.

THE BIG NO-NOS

These are non-negotiables and may result in removal without refund:

1. Leaving Early – Not allowed. Contact the Recreation Director (Josh) in emergencies.

2. Arriving Late – Your booth/truck must be open and staffed 30 minutes prior to event start.

3. Parking Violations – Park only where instructed. Customer parking is for customers.

4. Disrespect – To people or property. Be kind. Be respectful. Be professional.

WAIVER & RELEASE OF CLAIMS

By submitting this application, you agree to the terms outlined above including all event requirements, the insurance and indemnification policies, and acknowledge this waiver as a full release of liability against the Town of Schererville, Parks Department, and any associated agents or employees.

By signing this application, I confirm I have read, understand, and agree to all terms, conditions, and event rules. I understand that failure to comply or misrepresentation may result in immediate removal from the event without refund.
