About the SMAF

Celebrate Georgetown’s fourth annual South Main Arts Festival dedicated to the fine arts. Shop from the juried artist exhibitors for a variety of artistic media while viewing the chalk art project executed by passionate artists from the community! You will have the opportunity to vote for your favorite chalk art piece, and winners will be announced towards the end of the festival day. Also enjoy food trucks, live music, and art exhibits. Special art exhibits featured include Avian Grace, Floral Embrace at the Georgetown Art Center. Stay tuned for the headliner and full music lineup!

Artist exhibitor application deadline: June 30

Artist applications evaluated by the Georgetown Arts and Culture Board: July 1 – July 15

Artists notified of acceptance: July 16

Deadline for booth payments: July 30

Rules/Regulations:

• Hand-crafted items only. No commercial or secondhand sales. The Georgetown Arts and Culture Board reserves the right to accept or reject any item.

Booths:

• Selected Exhibitors must bring their own display tables, shelves, etc. which are required for the proper presentation of items. Exhibitors must have canopies or awnings for their booth space, as this is an outdoor exhibit space. Spaces are on pavers, grass, and asphalt. Not all spaces have access to electricity, but the festival closes before dark, so lighting is not necessary for this event. Charging stations will be available.
• For merchandising of artwork within canopies, display table legs must be covered with linens and no product can be displayed on the ground.
• The exhibitor is responsible for all of their booth set-up and takedown of merchandise, displays, and canopies. It is further understood that each exhibitor is responsible for assuring that all merchandise in his/her own booth space is well secured in the event of weather, i.e. wind, rain, etc., and that weights must be used to secure all corners and parts of the booth (tables, shelves, hanging racks, etc.) so as not to blow into or damage another exhibitor’s canopy and merchandise.
• All canopies are required to have at least a 40-pound tent weight per leg {If the exhibitor’s canopy or any part of the booth causes damage to another exhibitor’s booth due to negligence on his/her part, the exhibitor will be responsible for those damages).
• All canopies must be white. Please see the specifications of Z-Shade Commercial Canopies for guidance.
• All canopies must be fire-resistant and properly labeled, to meet the City of Georgetown Fire Code. Each vendor is required to have a 2A:10B:C fire extinguisher in their booth.
• Only LED lighting is allowed.
• Exhibitors are responsible for their extension cords.
• We prefer there be no pets in the booth area.
• Selected Exhibitors will be sent load-in instructions based on booth assignments. 
• Exhibitors may not begin to take down until 6:30 pm when the Festival ends. Early takedown will result in forfeiture of participation in next year’s festival.
• Displays are to be set up in your designated space only and must not block walkways.
• Your booth must be kept clean during the Festival hours and all waste must be placed in the trash/recycling receptacles. Please do not leave any tripping hazards (boxes and trash) on the ground.
• Break down any cardboard/boxes and stack them next to or behind your booth (as long as it is not in the walkways of the Festival), and volunteers will occasionally come around to collect trash/recycling during the event. At the end of the event, you must take your trash/recycling to the TDS carts placed around the Festival grounds or haul it away with you. Do not leave unwanted or discarded items stacked in the street.

Fees:

• Application and booth fees are non-refundable.
• All sales, taxes, etc. are to be handled by the exhibitors. No commission is taken by the City.
