Artist Alley Application

Welcome to the Charlotte Anime Experience! Browse through our applications and let us know if you have any questions. This is an electronic agreement and by selecting the booths, you are validating and approving this agreement electronically. Artists are alloted a 6ftx5ft space to display their work. 1 foldable table and 2 chairs will be provided. All tables will come with an electrical supply. The cost for an artist alley table is $50. If your application is approved, payment will be due within two weeks. You are able to cancel your application until February 14th, 2022 at which point the artist alley fee becomes nonrefundable. Artist Alley tables are specifically for independant artists. If you are interested in participating in the Artist Alley please continue this application.

Charlotte Anime Experience is a spring convention bringing exciting anime-themed experiences to the Queen City. Our programming includes a cosplay contest, hologram concert, esports tournament, and more!

Children 15 years and below are not permitted to participate in Artist Alley. All artists ages 16 and 17 (minor artists) must be accompanied by a parent/guardian for the duration of the show. Additional Artist Alley badges will be sold at a later date and can only be purchased by Primary Artists. A total of 3 participants (primary artist, subsidiary artist or helpers) are allowed per table with a limit of 1 subsidiary artist per table. Artists are not permitted to have both an Artist Alley Table and Exhibitor Booth. Plagiarism Policy If art or merchandise in the AA is determined to have been plagiarized, traced, or copied from someone else’s art, official art, or merchandise, the artist selling it will be expelled from the AA. To artists: Fanart is fine–it simply must be YOUR art (your lines and layout) that you are selling.You may not sell art that is directly redrawn (copying lines, pose, or background, etc) from the art of another or an “official” source. Exceptions are made to this in the case you have permission from the creator. Bootleg Policy If a merchant is found to be selling physical merchandise impersonating a brand or replicating a copyrighted design (like unauthorized plushies, figures, or apparel) or unauthorized copies of digital content (like CDs, DVDs, Blu-rays, or video games) they may be ejected or banned at our discretion.
