Inviting kids of all ages, families, and friends to participate in the first annual Belmont Gingerbread House Contest! All are encouraged to register and craft a confectionery creation with a chance to win prizes, and, of course, bragging rights!

About the application

Rules and Requirements: No kits allowed No larger than 16” square platform (no legs allowed) No higher than 22” No plug-in lights (battery powered lights are acceptable) 20 lb weight limit Must be edible for human consumption with the exception of the platform (no wood, styrofoam, etc. inside the house). Houses will be on display in front of City Hall on December 4 from 10 AM - 8 PM. Judging will take place throughout the day. Gingerbread House Contest Winner will be announced at 8 PM on the steps of City Hall.

Terms & Conditions

Pre-registration is required to participate in the Gingerbread House Contest. Applications close Friday, December 3 at 5 PM. Gingerbread house must be delivered to City Hall (115 North Main Street, Belmont NC 28012) by 10 AM on December 4. Gingerbread houses must be picked up by 9 PM on December 4. Any houses remaining in front of City Hall after 9 PM on December 4th will be discarded.
