Join Us for the Revitalized Tour & Taste of Mt. Vernon!
After a five-year break, we’re bringing back the beloved Tour & Taste of Mt. Vernon – and we want YOUR business to be a part of the celebration! Let’s come together to showcase the best of what Mt. Vernon has to offer and make this event unforgettable.
When: Friday, May 2, in Downtown Mt. Vernon!
Why Participate?
This is a unique opportunity to showcase your business to the local community and attract new customers! We’ll help promote your participation and connect you with other local businesses to drive more foot traffic to your location. Whether you’re a restaurant, retailer, or caterer, we’re partnering businesses to increase attendance and excitement!
How You Can Get Involved:
- Restaurants/Caterers: Offer free samples or sell your products. You can also provide non-alcoholic beverages and collaborate with DORA-licensed businesses for alcoholic drinks.
- Retail Shops: Offer a special promotion or discount for attendees or feature a unique product.
- All Participants: Be part of an exciting event where ticketholders will visit your business, collect stamps on their event passports, and have the chance to win door prizes at The Commons.
NOTE: With the exception of caterers, you must have a brick & mortar shop or restaurant in Jefferson County, Illinois. No food trucks accepted for this event. All food vendors/caterers must provide proof of insurance and be licensed with the Jefferson County Illinois Health Department.
Exciting Perks for Participants:
- Awards: Compete for People’s Choice and Best Decorated Display awards – plus the chance for some serious bragging rights!
- Promotion: DMDC will advertise your participation via flyers, social media, and news releases, giving your business excellent exposure.
Not located downtown? That's ok!
We’ll help promote your participation and place you at another participating downtown business to drive more foot traffic. Whether you’re a restaurant, retailer, or caterer, we’re partnering businesses to create a dynamic, exciting experience for attendees!
