The Monroe Crepe Myrtle Festival is a juried event. Read the guidelines below carefully before completing the application. All food trucks and trailers must provide a state of Georgia business license, COI with City of Monroe included, and your most recent Health Department score sheet. Food trucks will be inspected the day of the event by the Monroe Fire Department.
The deadline is May 2, 2025, for all applications. The application fee ($10) is non-refundable, even if the event is canceled.
ELIGIBILITY:
All food vendors must present proper licensing through the Georgia Department of Agriculture or County Health Department. All food and menus appearing the day of festival must be similar to the photographs submitted and will be verified by the festival representatives who reserve the right to require vendors to remove any item or items that do not meet these requirements, or any item not approved upon acceptance. The committee reserves the right to reject any application for any reason.
JURYING:
We look for the highest quality work and strive to have a variety of menus, styles, and price points represented at the festival. All menus must be listed on the application when submitted.
LOCATION:
The Monroe Crepe Myrtle Festival is held on the streets of beautiful Downtown Monroe, Georgia. From I-20 take Exit 82, go north onto Hwy 138/ GA20 continue 18 miles to W. Spring Street, turn right, continue 2 miles to N. Broad Street. (Vendor acceptance packets will indicate where a vendor is to enter the festival area according to the location of the vendor's booth.)
HOURS:
The Monroe Crepe Myrtle Festival is Saturday, May 2, 2025, 9AM- 2PM. Vendor load-in will begin at 7:00 AM on festival day. Vendors must staff and keep booths intact during the festival hours.
INCLEMENT WEATHER:
The festival WILL NOT be rescheduled due to inclement weather. There are no refunds due to inclement weather.
CANCELLATION POLICY:
Participant understands, acknowledges, and agrees that the Monroe Crepe Myrtle Festival is held in an open-air venue which is subject to inclement weather and other acts of God, as well as civil unrest or other unforeseen events. Because of the potential of cancellation as the result of the above, Participant agrees that the City of Monroe, Monroe DDA, and Main Street Monroe and its employees shall not be liable or responsible to Participant in any respect as the result of Participant’s investment/payment to the Monroe Crepe Myrtle Festival of money in the event the festival is cancelled due to some unforeseen reason, which is out of the control of the festival. Participant further agrees and acknowledges that in the event the festival or any part is cancelled for any reason, that Participant shall not be entitled to the refund of any monies paid to the City of Monroe for the event.
LIMITATION OF LIABILITY:
The City of Monroe, Monroe DDA or Main Street Monroe shall not be liable for any lost profits, lost opportunity, or any other such loss or damages resulting from a direct or indirect reliance upon this agreement, participation in the Monroe Crepe Myrtle Festival, or payment of any fees or deposit. The parties agree that Georgia law shall govern this agreement and any dispute arising from the relationship between the parties to this agreement; and further, any action of law or other judicial or administrative proceeding arising from this agreement may be maintained only in the Superior Court of Walton County, Georgia, which shall have proper jurisdiction over any and all such matters and disputes.
