Plein Air Martha Lafite Nature Sanctuary Liberty

Date : Sunday, October 5th 

• 10am to 3pm

Participation Details:

· Who Can Participate: Artists of all skill levels

· Registration: Ongoing

· Preregistration Fee: $35 (includes a care package, lunch, and a workshop discount) early bird registration ends September 9th, 2025.

· Event Day Registration: $45

· Participants will be able to submit up to three pieces for consideration for best of show.

· All paintings that are considered for cash or purchase prizes must be wired and ready to hang by 3pm.

· Artists paint within the Martha Lafite Nature Sanctuary. (Map will be Provided)

Schedule:

• · 10am to 11am: Adult Artists gather the Martha Lafite Nature Center Building to have their canvases date-stamped
• · 10am to 3pm: Artists paint within the Nature Center boundaries. (Map Provided)
• 3pm: Artists convene at the Nature Center building to hang their works for judging. ALL WORK MUST BE WIRED TO HANG. Judging begins at 3:30pm sharp.
• 3:30 to 4:20pm: Judging, Awards, Refreshments and Artist Meet and Greet.
• Work will remain at the Nature Center until the end of October.

Awards:

· Cash prizes: 

 Best of Nature Show $500  1st : $250   2nd  $150    3rd : $100

To be eligible for prizes you must register and be stamped on the day of the event. By registering you agree to sell anything entered in the awards process. You are not required to enter all paintings completed on the day of the event. Paintings may be sold from your easel anytime during the event. If a painting is sold in advance, it will not be eligible for the Cash competition. All paintings must be created within the Nature Sanctuary Boudaries.

By participating in this event you agree to the following; Liberty Plein Air 2025 and the Martha Lafite Nature Sanctuary is provided with no special warranty either expressed or implied. The organizers, including but not limited to the event volunteers, The Artisan Market and the Martha Laftie Nature Sanctuary assume no liability for any loss, theft, damage or injury to property or persons whether arising in contract, negligence, equity or otherwise. Participation in the event is considered "at your own risk." All participants must use due care under the circumstances to comply with all rules regulations, statutes and laws of the state of Missouri and the City of Liberty.
