Bite Food Vendor

The Bite Passport program all attendees to indulge in various delicious foods from different cuisines all in one place! As part of this program, vendors will offer small samples of their cuisine to passport holders. Bite Passports can be purchased online or at the event for $10. The Bite contest will take place from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and allows participants to vote for their favorite sample.

• Sample Distribution:
  • Bite Vendors are required to provide 1,000 "Bite" samples exclusively to participants who have purchased a Bite Passport. 
• Menu Provision:
  • Full menus are required by the food vendor for attendees not participating in the program, expected to be around 6,000-8,000 attendees. 
• Marketing:
  • The restaurant must provide a .png, vectored logo, picture, and description of the item for the contest and make sure the item fits in the designated event sample cup of 2oz. Bite Menu items and marketing materials are due Monday, March 25, 2024. 
• Operating Hours:
  • Bite Vendors are obligated to remain open for the entire duration of the event. 
• Food Preparation Standards:
  • Home-prepared foods are strictly prohibited; however, cottage vendors may be considered under special circumstances. 
• Compensation:
  • The City of Pflugerville is providing a $1,000 stipend to all participating vendors to assist with the expenses of the Bite Program samples. Bite vendors will receive the $1,000 compensation via check after the event has concluded. Bite vendors must supply a W-9 before Tuesday, March 25th 2025.
• Approved Items Only:
  • Vendors may only sell items that have been explicitly listed on the application form. 
• Alcohol Sales Policy:
  • No alcohol sales are permitted unless operating from an approved beer booth; any specialty drinks must be noted. 
• Permit Requirement:
  • Bite Vendors must obtain a $280 Temporary Food Permit before the event, unless in possession of the Pflugerville sticker inspection from the City of Austin for mobile food vendors. If you do not have an Austin Public Health permit, the City of Pflugerville will pay the entire cost of $280 on your behalf. 
• Event Conditions:
  • The event will take place rain or shine.

• Awards & Judging:
  • The Bite of Pflugerville event will be judged by participants with awards from 1st-3rd place and then a “City” award as well.

By agreeing to participate in the event, Bite Vendors acknowledge and agree to comply with the outlined terms and conditions. Failure to adhere to these conditions may result in the forfeiture of participation and associated fees. We appreciate your cooperation in making this event a success.
