The following Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) apply to all Food Trucks participating in the 1887 Night Market (“Market”). By registering and participating in the Market, Food Truck vendors agree to abide by these Terms.
1. Application and Registration
All Food Trucks must complete a registration form and submit it with any necessary documentation (e.g., permits, insurance).
The 1887 Night Market reserves the right to approve or deny any application based on market needs, space availability, or other factors.
2. Vendor Fees
A non-refundable deposit is required to secure your Food Truck space at the Market. This fee is due upon acceptance into the Market and must be paid prior to the event date.
Additional fees may apply for specific services such as electricity, water, or parking, as noted in the vendor application.
3. Hours of Operation
Food Trucks must be open and operating for the full duration of the Market, from 5:00PM to 9:00PM.
Early departure or late arrival is not permitted unless otherwise agreed upon by 1887 Night Market management.
4. Food Truck Setup and Breakdown
Food Trucks must arrive at least hours before the event opens to allow sufficient time for setup.
Breakdown should not begin until the Market has officially ended, and all areas should be cleaned and cleared by end of market.
Food Trucks are responsible for their own setup, including any necessary equipment (e.g., tents, tables, signage).
5. Compliance with Health and Safety Regulations
All Food Trucks must comply with local health codes, safety regulations, and any requirements from the local health department, fire department, and other authorities.
Food Trucks must possess a valid health permit, business license, and proof of insurance.
Food Trucks must provide proof of liability insurance (minimum coverage of [$1,000,000) to cover any potential incidents.
Food Trucks must adhere to all fire safety requirements, including maintaining accessible fire extinguishers and compliance with fire department regulations.
6. Menu and Pricing
Food Trucks must provide a menu with clear, legible pricing visible to customers at all times.
Menu items should be suitable for the event's family-friendly and community atmosphere.
Food Truck operators are responsible for ensuring adequate supply of food and beverages during the event.
7. Waste Management
Food Trucks are responsible for keeping their areas clean and properly disposing of all trash, waste, and grease.
All vendors must bring their own trash bags and ensure that their areas are left clean at the end of the event.
Food Trucks must dispose of grease and waste in designated disposal areas only.
8. Equipment and Electricity
Food Trucks requiring electricity must notify the 1887 Night Market organizers in advance and confirm availability.
Equipment must be safe, in good working condition, and comply with all electrical codes.
1887 Night Market management is not responsible for providing power adapters or any electrical needs beyond the allocated power supply.
9. Conduct and Behavior
Food Truck operators, employees, and staff must behave professionally, respectfully, and in accordance with the Market’s code of conduct.
Disruptive behavior, including aggressive marketing, harassment, or any other actions that disrupt the event, will not be tolerated and may result in immediate removal from the event without refund.
Vendors must adhere to all Market guidelines and cooperate with Market staff and fellow vendors.
10. Liability
Food Truck vendors participate in the 1887 Night Market at their own risk.
The 1887 Night Market, its organizers, employees, and volunteers are not liable for any loss, damage, or injury to persons, vehicles, or property during the event.
Vendors must indemnify and hold harmless the 1887 Night Market and its affiliates from any claims, losses, or damages arising from their participation.
11. Cancellation and Refund Policy
If a Food Truck needs to cancel, the vendor must notify 1887 Night Market management at least 3 days before the event.
Refunds for cancellations are subject to a 50% administrative fee if made before the cancellation deadline.
In the event of inclement weather or other emergencies, the Market may be canceled, and refunds will be issued according to the refund policy.
12. Promotions and Advertising
Food Trucks are permitted to engage in self-promotion and advertising during the event. All signage, materials, and advertisements must be pre-approved by Market management.
Vendors are encouraged to promote their participation at the 1887 Night Market on social media with the official event hashtags and handles.
13. Modification of Terms
The 1887 Night Market reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Any changes will be communicated to Food Truck vendors in advance.
