Charity Application

Thank you for your interest in becoming the sponsored charity for the 2025 Mountaineer Brewfest. Our festival showcases West Virginia’s diverse entries in the Craft and Microbrew market, strengthens community ties, and promotes tourism for our city and region. Each year the Mountaineer Brewfest committee selects one local charity to receive proceeds from our festival. 

Our Mission Statement:

• To promote West Virginia’s unique and growing industry of craft and microbreweries
• To provide the public an opportunity to learn about West Virginia’s craft and microbrewers and their products
• To provide the best in Craft Beer, Entertainment, and Food from West Virginia all within a relaxed atmosphere. 
• To encourage community, tourism, and growth within the city of Wheeling by: 
  • Working with local officials and businesses to provide a sustainable event
  • By donating festival proceeds to local charities
• With over $267,000 raised in our first 10 years through festival proceeds and tips collected by volunteers of the Circus Saints and Sinners, we are proud to have helped Wheeling Health Right, Harmony House, St. John’s Home for Children, Habitat for Humanity – Wheeling, Ohio Valley Sexual Assault Help Center, the Augusta Levy Learning Center, A Special Wish Foundation – Ohio Valley Chapter, the Seeing Hand Association, Family Service-Upper Ohio Valley, Helping Heroes and more!

• Charity must operate in and provide services within Ohio County, WV.
• Charity will be expected to provide volunteers for the Mountaineer Brewfest, number of volunteers to be determined, (plan on 20).
• Charity volunteer responsibilities are operational only (setup, tear down, clean up).
• Your Organization will receive special mentions in Mountaineer Brewfest media advertising and press releases.
• Valley Groove Productions Inc dba Mountaineer Brewfest does not warrant or guarantee any particular donations to the sponsored charity.
• Charity applications are due by March 31st each year
• Charity Announcement will be made in April or early May of each year
