In the Name of Love: Expressions of Affection Through Art

Call to Artists: "In the Name of Love" Art Show

Exhibition Dates: February 1-28, 2025

Location: Fallany Center for the Arts

Are you an artist interested in exploring the theme of love in its many forms? We invite you to submit your work for our upcoming art show, "In the Name of Love: Expressions of Affection through Art" This exhibition will celebrate the diverse expressions of love—romantic, platonic, familial, self-love, etc.—through various artistic mediums.

Submission Guidelines:

Open to artists of all backgrounds and disciplines.
Each artist may submit up to three pieces.
Artwork must be original and completed within the last two years.
Accepted mediums include: painting, sculpture, photography, mixed media, drawing, printmaking, etc.

Work must be delivered between January 20-24, 2025

Work delivered in person can be dropped off between 9am-3pm Monday through Friday at the Fallany Center for the Arts.

All shipped work must include a pre-paid label for return shipping. 

Menagerie-on-Main is not liable for loss or damages to artwork in shipping. 

All work MUST be GALLERY READY upon delivery - meaning WIRE stretched across the back, screwed into the frame with WIRE. NO sawtooth hooks, paper wire attachments. Work not properly display ready will not be hung and declined upon delivery. 

Sculptural pieces must be free-standing or securely fitted with hanging apparatus on the back. Menagerie-on-Main has limited pedestals, sculptural artists are welcome to bring their own pedestals or stands if needed for artworks. 

Due to space only packaging of shipped works can be held, all packing for hand delivered work must be taken with you upon delivery. 

All shipped work must include a pre-paid label for return shipping. 

Menagerie-on-Main is not liable for loss or damages to artwork in shipping. 

Please label each piece with artist's name, title of work, and price on the back.

All sales of work are split between the artist and the gallery (60/40)

Timeline

November: Open Call to Artists

January 16:  Submissions due

January 17: Notification of Acceptance

January 20-24: Delivery of Work

February 1: Opening Reception 6-8pm

End of February: Pick up work/return shipping. Artists can visit the gallery during the open hours of 9am-3pm to pick-up their work. Artwork MUST be picked up by February 27.
