HOLIDAY PARADE INFORMATION
Parade Start Time: 6:00PM
Theme: “Celebration of Lights"
Parade Route: Starting at the corner of Lucerne & Federal Highway proceeding west, turning south on “J” Street and then east on Lake Avenue ending and then turning north on Federal Hwy.
Check-In: Each contingent must check-in at the designated location (to be announced) no later than 4:30pm on the day of the parade. Groups not present by 5:00pm will be assigned to the back of the parade, resources permitting.
Contact Person: Each entry shall have one primary contact person. This person will be the only individual contacted by the organizers and must have authority to make decisions on behalf of the sponsoring organization. Please provide complete information for this individual including a mobile phone number that we can call on the day of the parade should it be necessary.
Public Information: Unless you select otherwise in writing, information about your organization and entry may be made available on the event website, in pre-event publicity, and to the media.
Signature: Your application is not complete unless it is signed. Please read and understand all terms and conditions. Each parade group or representative must sign and return a PARADE CONTRACT and each parade participant must sign and return a PROGRAM WAIVER in order to participate in the parade. No Exceptions! You are signing a legal, binding contract.
NO STOPPING in front of the Judges stand; please remember that the parade must run smoothly and continuously. The parade progression will travel starting at the corner of Lucerne & Federal Highway proceeding west, turning south on “J” Street and then east on Lake Avenue ending and then turning north on Federal Hwy. Santa and Mrs. Claus will be the last unit in the parade. There will be activities at the Cultural Plaza before the parade.

RULES FOR PARTICIPATION
Placement: The City of Lake Worth Beach reserves the sole right to place parade participants in any order deemed appropriate. Placement is not on a first-come, first-served basis. Entries will receive their parade order numbers prior to the day of the event.
Maximum Float Height Restrictions: 15 feet from the ground.
Solicitations: Solicitation of funds or selling of merchandise during the parade is not permitted.
Political advertising/ solicitation is PROHIBITED.
Throwing Objects Prohibited: For safety and liability reasons absolutely nothing may be thrown while walking or riding in the parade. This includes candy or any other objects. Violators are subject to removal from the parade.
Restricted Objects: None of the following items may be handed out or be a part of your contingent without the prior written approval of Parade Producers: Political Signs… zero tolerance, live animals, bottled water, confetti, silly string, air horns, or amplified sound. Furthermore, the City of Lake Worth Beach prohibits the following items along the parade route: glass bottles, balloons filled with anything other than helium or air, body armor, bricks, stones, weapons, projectile launching equipment (including water guns), or operational gas masks.
Alcohol or Drug Use: Alcohol and drug use are prohibited in the pre- parade assembly area or on the parade route.
Good Taste: Nudity, lewdness, or obscenity is prohibited by state and local laws. All entries must exhibit good taste or be removed from the parade. Parade organizers shall have sole discretion to determine violations of this rule.
Contingent Monitors: Each contingent MUST provide monitors for their group.
1-25 persons: 1 Monitor
25+ persons: 2 Monitors
People in or on motor vehicles are considered persons in your group. The contingent monitors will walk along side the parade contingent. Their role will be to ensure proper and safe behavior and adherence to the parade rules. Failure to provide sufficient monitors or to attend the orientation is grounds for removal from the parade.
Live Animals: You must have written permission from Parade Producers to include live animals in your contingent. All animals must be on a leash or appropriately restrained. All contingents must follow safety codes for the City of Lake Worth Beach and is responsible for ensuring their compliance. You are responsible for cleaning up after your animals. Any obvious animal abuse will be reported to the Palm Beach County Sheriffs Office and will result in removal from the parade.
Behavior: Courteous and respectful behavior is required at all times. Individuals or groups exhibiting abusive or inappropriate behavior towards parade organizers or others may be removed from the parade. Please do not antagonize any protesters who may be present at the parade. Riding on top of vehicles is prohibited.
