Artist Application

Calling all veteran artists!

1. Submission of a piece for consideration does not guarantee display of the artwork in this exhibition.
2. Artists must drop off their work on Friday, November 1st between 12-4pm at Mansfield City Hall (1200 E. Broad Street, Mansfield) and collect it on Friday, Nov. 15th during the same time at the same location. If this is not feasible, advance arrangements may be made for an alternative drop off or pickup. 
3. All 2D artwork must be prepared for hanging with a hanging wire across the back. Hanging artwork will be displayed on temporary art hanging panels.
4. Requirements for display of sculpture/free standing artwork must be discussed in advance with exhibit staff prior to submission approval.
5. Artwork will be selected by City of Mansfield Community Engagement staff.
6. Exhibition organizers have the right to exclude any work deemed inappropriate for the exhibit for whatever reason they see fit.
7. Submission of an application is a waiver of rights for exhibition organizers to use images of your work in future event and gallery-related promotions.
8. Artists should have themselves and their artwork insured. Art is being displayed in a public high traffic area.
9. Artist agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the City of Mansfield, its agents, and employees from and against any and all liability claim including claims for damages to persons or property arising out of the display of their artwork in the veterans art exhibit. The artist does hereby assume all liability and responsibility for bodily injuries, claims, or suits for damages to persons or property of whatsoever kind or character, whether real or asserted, occurring in connection with the display, installation, or removal of their artwork, by the artist, or his agents, servants, employees, contractors or subcontractors. The City of Mansfield assumes no responsibility for any property placed in or about the City Hall facility.
