Market Day Guidelines:
- Set-up between 7am & 8:15am - NO vendor vehicles in the parking lot after 8:30am- If you’ve had an issue/emergency that will result in a late arrival (after 8:15am), text the Market Manager so he can plan accordingly. Please identify who you are.- If you are late, you are not allowed to pull your vehicle into the market footprint. - The market opens at 9am and ends at 12pm. Therefore, you should not be leaving at or before 12pm. Out of respect for our customers, no vendor will be allowed to break down until the market is officially closed at 12pm. - Vehicles will not be allowed to pull into the market footprint until all customers leave.
Weekly Fee of $25 per week:- Weekly vendor fees are payable via cash or card (+processing fee) and collected by market staff on the day of the market (around 10:00 am)- You or your employee should come to the market prepared to pay the booth fee regardless of the cash you anticipate receiving from customers that day. - Failure to pay vendor fees when due will result in dismissal from the Market.- If any trash is left behind at your booth you will be charged $25 for each occurance. Trash being left behind numerous times may result in dismissal from the Market.
Absences & Cancellations:- Absences must be disclosed to the Market Manager in advance, and any failure to notify will result in a No Call/No Show fee of $50. - Repeated absences without proper notification may result in dismissal from the Market. - Cancelling at any time on Friday or Saturday, for any reason, will result in being charged that week's vendor fee of $25.
Items NOT To Be Sold:- Food items not grown and/or processed by the vendor - Beverages not produced by vendor business - Bottled water, soda, energy drinks - Alcoholic beverages- CBD oils or items containing CBD/THC- Art or Crafts not produced by the vendor
General Rules & Regulations:Vendors intending to sell prepared and packaged food stuffs for resale must provide a copy of their current Georgia Department of Agriculture Food Sales Establishment License. These vendors must attest to the fact that they grow or buy from local growers at least one major ingredient in their product. Baked goods are exempted from this regulation.
Vendors who wish to sell eggs and/or dairy must provide a copy of their current Georgia Department of Agriculture certification
Health Regulations
All vendors participating in the DHFM shall comply with the sanitary rules and regulations of the County and State Health Departments. All food must be properly displayed, fresh and grown and/or prepared in accordance with all local, state and federal regulations.
Hold-Harmless Clause and InsuranceAll authorized vendors participating in the DHFM shall be individually and severally responsible to the DHFM for any loss, personal injury, death, and/or other damages that may occur as a result of the vendors' negligence or that of its agents and employees, and all vendors hereby agree to indemnify and save the DHFM and its representatives harmless from any loss, costs, damages and other expenses, including attorney's fees, suffered or incurred by the DHFM by reason of the vendors' negligence or that of its agents and employees: provided that the vendors shall not be responsible nor required to indemnify the DHFM for negligence, its agents and employees. Each vendor must carry his/her own product liability insurance and must be prepared to present it at the DHFM. Proof of such insurance should accompany your application to the DHFM.
Space AssignmentSpace shall be generally defined as 10' x 10'. Vendors are responsible for setting up their space and keeping it clean. Canopies or umbrellas are allowed. Tables are suggested. Nothing shall be displayed on the ground. (With the exception of live plants). Nothing shall extend in to the space of another vendor unless agreed upon by both parties.
Cleanup
All vendors shall clean up their area at the end of each Market day. All vendors shall be clear of the vending area by 1:00 p.m. Vendors shall be responsible for the cleanliness of their space during market hours. Vendors shall not use the nearby public and private trash receptacles for disposal of produce boxes and unsold produce. All trash shall be removed from the site by the vendor.
Pricing, Weights and MeasuresEach vendor will operate as an individual entity and, as such, each vendor is responsible for setting his/her own prices. Weights and measures are expected to be in accordance with all applicable local, state and federal rules and regulations.
Sales TaxEach vendor will operate as an individual business entity and as such, each vendor is responsible for collecting his/her own sales taxes, where applicable.
MiscellaneousNo firearms. No alcoholic beverages. No drugs.
Non-Profit Organizations
Non-profit organizations shall make application and pay the same rate as the other vendors on a per space basis.
ComplaintsComplaints of any kind against any vendor shall be directed to the attention of the Market Manager. The Market Manager will seek to resolve the issue immediately and if the Market Manager is unable to do so, he/she will forward the complaint to the owners and Market Advisory Committee for investigation and resolution.
The Market Manager shall have the right to warn and/or suspend a vendor based on the Market Manager's personal observation of a violation of the rules and regulations.
The Market Manager and owner of the DHFM reserve the right to revise the DHFM Rules and Regulations at any time.
