About the application

This application is for food trucks, snack vendors and dessert vendors. Howl On The Green is Duluth's annual Halloween event, hosting over 8,000 people with the chance to participate in costume contests, enjoy live entertainment, and so much more. It will take place on Duluth Town Green Friday, October 25th from 6-10PM.To become an eligible Food vendor for Howl On The Green, the following form must be completed and submitted for review. Please note: this is an application for event participation. You will be contacted by a city event staff member if you are selected as a vendor. Applications will be considered based on the date received.

About the event

Howl On The Green is a family friendly event. Bring your kids, friends and furry pets for a night filled of fun, sweet treats, great food and out of this world entertainment on Duluth Town Green! The event turns into fright at dark. Fire dancers make their way through the crowd as mystical creatures emerge, while aerialist hang from the Festival Center Stage and break dancing werewolves light up the night! There is surprising entertainment for everyone to enjoy!

Terms & Conditions

Vendor Booth Requirements: (All vendors must provide the following items)

One (1) 10X10 Tent with proper weights (no staking)
One (1) six (6) foot table
Booth supplies necessary to accomplish task. (chair, extension cords, lighting, table cloth, etc.)

Vendors Are Allowed:

Up to three (3) six (6) foot long tables to place under a 10X10 tent
Up to four (4) employees
Generator – must be quiet in nature so not to disturb other vendors or the event
Please Note: Items forgotten will not be provided by the City of Duluth. If additional space is needed, please indicate what is needed to allow City officials time to make the necessary arrangements. You must provide your own tent, table, chairs, extension cords and table cloth. You must submit pictures of your product along with this application.

Approval Process: Approved applications will be selected based on the following:

Application completion
Products or items sold/promoted
Duplicate vendors will not be allowed at event unless advised by the city of specific functions
All applicants must submit vendor booth photos
All vendors must submit a “menu” of what is being offered/sold/given away at the event along with a price list (if applicable)
Applicants must supply proper documentation prior to event (i.e. business license, proper permitting)
Alcohol vendors must supply catering permits and will be required to fill our Duluth permitting.

Applicants please read the following carefully:

Vendors are not allowed to leave their booths unattended during an event. You may only be 3 feet from your booth at any given time
Vendors are not allowed to “walk” the event to pass out marketing materials. You may give out materials if guest approach your booth
Vendors may collect donations but may not solicit for donations
Vendors who arrive after 5PM will not be allowed into the event and will forfeit their vendor payment for the event
No-show vendors will forfeit payment and will not be allowed back to the event after two (2) no-show occurrences
Our events take place outside and Mother Nature can become a factor. If weather becomes a factor, the event will NOT be canceled until the day of the event. You will be contacted by a city event staff member if there are changes or cancellations. All vendors affected by a “rain date” will be offered an alternate date or their money back
If a vendor is observed selling or giving away a product(s) that was not approved on the vendor application or by event staff, the vendor will be asked to stop selling immediately and will be considered in violation of the vendor agreement and face possible removal from the event
All vendors will be notified by an event attendant when it is safe to drive in the event area. Driving in the event area before the road is cleared by an event attendant is prohibited and vendor will face possible exclusion from all future events. This is a safety hazard that we expect all of our vendors to abide by
Vendor violations are taken very seriously and will be addressed promptly and appropriately

Vendor Violation Policy:

Vendors who are considered a “No-Show” or cancel twice (2 X’s) will not be allowed to vend the event for the season and will lose all vendor payments made to the City.
Vendors that refuse to follow the vendor requirements will be given three (3) warnings before they are dismissed from the event.
Vendors selling products not approved on the application or by staff will receive three (3) warnings before they are dismissed from the event.
ALL vendors must show respect to the community “our customers” and the event staff. As a vendor, you are now the image of Duluth and bad behavior, violence, harassment, rude or disrespectful behavior is grounds for immediate removal from the event, loss of vendor payment and a police escort if deemed necessary.

Food Truck	$125.00	Non-refundable	This option is for Food Vendors.
Food Truck with a Duluth Business License	$62.50	Non-refundable	This option is for Food Vendors with a Duluth Business License. The City of Duluth is proud of our community and the merchants who work in our great city every day. As a token of our appreciation, we would like to offer you an incentive to participate in local events. Duluth merchants holding valid up to date business license will be considered priority when selecting vendors. Applications must be sent in three weeks prior to the event for this consideration.
10 X 10 Booth Space Snack/Dessert/Non-Alcoholic Beverage Vendors	$65.00	Non-refundable	This option is for Snack/Dessert Vendors. Ex. Popcorn, Ice Cream, Cotton Candy, Baked Goods, etc.
10 X 10 Booth Space Snack/Dessert Vendors/Non-Alcoholic Beverage with Duluth Business Liscense	$32.50	Non-refundable	This option is for Snack/Dessert Vendors with a Duluth Business License.
