Sharing Information, Having Fun As a parent trying to get ready for a new school year, sometimes planning can be overwhelming. This event is loaded with important information from family-friendly resources and fun afterschool & year-round programs to help with that process! Kids can get a cool temp tattoo, grab a balloon animal, pet a reptile, make a craft, have fun in the obstacle course, get fairy hair, watch youth group demos, meet a pirate and more. All free! Overview of Event
Hosted on Saturday, August 10th from 10:00-2:00 pm inside the Melbourne Square Mall, the Back 2 School Bash presented by Goff Orthodontics is a free community event to celebrate the start of the school year and excite area youth’s senses and creativity through fun and play.
 The Bash offers entertainment and fun interactive, educational displays. Local businesses are on hand to share back to school related resources and services focusing on health & wellness, childcare, safety, afterschool & year-round programs, tutoring, special needs and other important topics. 
Over 1,500 families from Brevard County will be in attendance. Free fun includes temporary tattoos, reptile petting zoo, meet & greets, craft stations, balloon animals, youth group demos and more. 
The event is an outstanding opportunity for sponsor branding, marketing, cross-promotion, product or service showcase and a vehicle for positive community influence. Our mission is to provide a way for local businesses to promote themselves and what they do to their local community. We connect businesses with consumers in their target markets. 
 
Advertising, Publicity & Promotion 
The Back 2 School Bash is heavily promoted using a combination of radio, print, digital and social media advertising. Melbourne Square Mall will also be promoting the event via mall wide ads.
 
What Makes Our Events Different?
We are different because we do not charge for the many fun activities onsite! A lot of family and kid-friendly events charge $10 or more in admission, and even more for activities. We want our attendees to focus on our sponsors and vendors.

Terms & Conditions

1. EXHIBITS - Display material must be confined to the vendor/sponsor space. No placard, stickers, or other signs relating to nonpaid businesses will be allowed. Only one business per space; tables cannot be shared by two businesses.
2. NO REFUNDS – There are no refunds for any reason if vendor/sponsor cancels.
3. PLACEMENT - Space will be assigned at the discretion of Show Management. 
4. SALE OF MERCHANDISE - Must comply with all local, state, and federal laws and regulations. 
5. CLEAN UP – Vendor/sponsor is responsible for removal of their boxes, pallets, trash, etc. Vendors who do not remove their trash will be subject to a $30 fine. 
6. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY - Vendor/sponsor agrees to hold Washington Prime Group, Melbourne Square LLC, and Touch of Magic Events LLC harmless and blameless and will make no claim for any reason whatsoever, including negligence, against Show Management, its officers, agents, employees, or the lessors or owners of the Facility for loss, theft, damage or destruction of property, nor for any injury to it or its employees, agents, or invitees while in the Facility. 
7. CARE AND STAFFING OF EXHIBITS - All coverings of exhibits must be removed, and vendor/sponsor must be on duty no later than 10 minutes prior to the opening of the show. The table must be manned until the event ends. No more than three representatives may occupy a single vendor/sponsor table at a time.
8. COMPLIANCE WITH LAWS - Vendor/sponsor shall not engage in any display, publication, performance, or other activity which conflicts with any applicable law, regulation, rule or ordinance, nor shall exhibitor, or its representatives or employees, engage in any lewd display, publication or performance. Vendor/sponsor will be responsible for obtaining all necessary governmental permits and licenses. 
9. NO GUARANTEE OF ATTENDANCE - Show Management does not guarantee specific volumes or levels of attendance at the Event. Vendor/sponsor shall not be entitled to any refund, in full or in part, of any amounts paid based on actual attendance level.
10. FIRE AND SAFETY LAWS - Vendor/sponsor is responsible for complying with all Federal, State and City laws. Wiring must comply with fire department and underwriter's rules. Smoking in exhibits is forbidden. Crowding will be restricted. No vendor/sponsor shall bring into the facility any combustibles. All decorations must be flame proof.
11. TEAR DOWN - Early breakdown is strictly prohibited. Vendors/sponsors who are found to break down early will not be invited back for future shows. Please be respectful of the event, other vendors, and attendees who arrive later in the day.
12. RESCHEDULING OF EVENT POLICY - Certain events can pre-empt a show, such as COVID-19. As a result, show management may have to reschedule an event. If an event is rescheduled, all contracts and payments are binding to the rescheduled date. If unable to attend the new date, you will receive a credit for a future show.
13. VENDOR/SPONSOR TRADE - If the agreed upon activities or items are not provided, vendor/sponsor cancels, or vendor/sponsor breaks activities down before the event is over, the full value of the trade will be due immediately.

Prices

Premium Vendor - 8' x 12' space $200 Non-refundable Premium vendor space is located in main walkway near an activity area. Vendors must bring their own table(s) and chair(s) or rent through the event (see below). Vendor space is 8’ deep x 12’ long. Tablecloths of any color can be used. Backdrops, signage, and displays are welcome, but are limited to 6’ in height. No tents or canopies are allowed inside the mall.
Table Rental $20 Non-refundable 6' Table with Black Linen. Rental applies to vendors only as tables are included for sponsors.
Chair Rental $5 Non-refundable Rental applies to vendors only as chairs are included for sponsors.

  • By submitting this application, I acknowledge that I have read and understand the terms and conditions as indicated on this application and contract. I agree to sell only those items as listed. If I change/add a new category or merchandise, I must submit a request to the promoter. Any vendor/sponsor that does not comply with the rules and regulations will not be invited to return.
