The City of Lake City Downtown BBQ Showdown Barbecue Cookoff reserves the right to rject any application. If your application is not accepted, your money will be refunded. Any photos taken of your booth onsite become the property of the City of Laqke City Downtown BBQ SHowdown and may be used for promotional purposes.
You will set up in the Wilson Park area around the sidewalk. Your tent will be on the grass. NO TRAILERS for this event. Please bring sand bags or weights as this is a very windy area. Nothing can be put into the ground because of electrical wires and pipes. I will send out a map of your location closer to the event.I will also have the directions of where you will unload. When unloading please come in on NE Luguna Drive. Turn right on NE Lake Desoto Circle then turn right on NW Methodist Terrace then left on Franklin Street. Unload from Frankiln Street going west direction. Then proceed to your parking area by turning right on Hernando then right on Leon then right on Church St into the Shands Parking lot. This is a two day event and request that you be there for both days. On Friday, November 8th the event starts at 12:00pm and ends at 11:00pm. You may stay until 11:00pm or if you chooses to leave earlier please do not leave earlier than 7:00pm. Please be set up on Friday and your vehicle out of the drop off area by 11:00am. On saturday the event starts at 10:00am and the awards is at 5:00pm and tear down will be after closing of the award ceremony (Aprox 6:00). We will have security on the grounds through the night if you would like to cover and leave your things. We are not responsible for any items so please don't leave valuables unattended. Please note there will be smoke from the cookers-don't bring anything that will be ruined by the smoke. There are no refunds if you are unable to participate. Make sure you are committed before signing up.
In consideration of participating in such activity, the participant does herby and forever discharge the City of Lake City, it's officers, staff, jointly and severally, from any and all actions, causes of injury, which hereafter may be sustained by participants, merchants, vendors, spectators, or others in consequnce of participating in the City of Lake City Downtown BBQ Showdown Barbeuce Competition event. This relese extends and applies to, and also covers and included, all unknow, unforseen, unanticipated, and unsuspected injuries, damages, loss and liability and the consequnces thereof, as well as those not diclosed and known to exist. The provisions or any state, federal, local, or territorial law or statue providing in substance that releases shall not extend to claims, demands, injuries, or damages which are unkniwn or unexpected to exist at the time, to the person executing such leases, are hereby expressley waived. I hereby agree on behalf of my heirs, executor, administrators, and assigns to indemnify the City of Laek City KCNS Downtown BBQ Showdown Barbecue Competition Event/City of Lake City, jointly and severally, and hold harmless from and against any and all actions, claims, demands, and liabilities, loss, damages, and expense of whatever kind or nature, including attorney fees, which may at any time be incurred by reason of my participatin in the City of Lake City KCBS Downtown BBQ Showdown Barbecue Competition Event. It is further agreed and understood that said allowance of my participation in the City of Lake City KCBS Downtown BBQ Showdown Barbecue Competition event is not to be construed as an admission of any liability and acceptance of assumption of responsibility by the City of Lake City/City of Lake City KCBS Downtown BBQ Showdown Barbecue Competition Event, its officers and members, jointly and severally, for all damages and expenses for which the City of Lake City KCBS Downtown BBQ Showdown Barbecue Competition event, its officers and staff, jointly and severally, become liable as a result of any alleged act of the festival participant. Signature below indicates that the vendor has carfully read and understands all of the above requirements to participate as a vendor in the City of Lake City KCBS Downtown BBQ SHowdown Barbecue Competition Event.
