About the application

Welcome to the Seattle Waterfront Marketplace!

Seattle Waterfront Marketplace is a permanent resident collective of more than 40 local artists, artisans, craftspeople, and creators. Open seven days a week, we offer a solution for artists looking to move away from the traditional 'day market' model.

At Seattle Waterfront Marketplace:

  • Artists create a permanent display, eliminating the need for continual set-up and take-down
  • The marketplace is staffed to sell on behalf of the artists, who don't vend or 'man' their tables
  • There are no application, table, or daily fees
  • Artists provide a POS system for processing transactions and accounts are settled weekly
  • Artists split gross sales with the marketplace, at a percentage determined by their resident set-up date
  • There are no contracts or commitments
Once accepted, artists commit to providing a POS system; using their social media presence to promote the marketplace; and maintaining their market inventory. As a collective, it's important each artist understands their individual success is tied to the success of the market and everyone has a role to play.

Artists interested in applying for permanent residency should come by the marketplace any day between the hours of 11am and 5pm, with examples of their work - this can be samples, photos, social media pages, etc.

Application does not guarantee acceptance and space is filled on a first-come basis. Artist location within the marketplace is at the discretion of market management for the good of the collective.

VENDING SPACE /STALL: vendor spaces vary, with the average being 8'x3'. Power source provided.

SETUP: to be arranged with marketplace management - availability is flexible but must be pre-arranged.

LOADING DOCK is available in front of the building

PARKING: there is ample parking available around the waterfront area, including early-bird
