Floral Design Competition

There is a $25 nonrefundable entry fee per contestant.Deadline for entry is June 12, 2024.A prize of $100 Downtown Dollars will be awarded to the first-place contestant and $20 Downtown Dollars to the second-place runner up. There will also be a "People's Choice" award of $50 Downtown Dollars given to the participant receiving the most votes by the general public.

Join us for the 5th annual Monroe Blooms Flower Festival! Beautiful floral displays will be on display throughout downtown. Our streets will be lined with artisan vendors, flower and plant sales, planting workshops, demonstrations and more. This application is for the floral design competition.

Rules and Guidelines:All flowers, foliage, containers, tools and supplies needed to complete the required design will be provided. Each contestant will be given a certain number and variety of products from which to create a design. All participants will receive an identical supply of flowers, foliage, containers and supplies. Supplies will include floral tape, floral foam, utility wire, and any other items the competition coordinator deems necessary.Usage is at the discretion of each participant.The competition will consist of designing one floral arrangement, with the supplies provided within a 45-minute time frame. After the competition, the designs will be on display for the general public viewing until 3:00pm. The winner will be announced at 12:00pm from the courthouse landing.
