Film Noir: A Night of Black Film

Filmmakers:We would like to extend an invitation to all Black filmmakers to participate in our upcoming Black Art Crawl. Black Artist Forward will be hosting this event in Fayetteville, NC, on July 12th 2024 We welcome online submissions from now, until June 1st, 2024. We encourage all artists to submit their entries promptly and look forward to viewing your work. Established, emerging, and student artists are encouraged to participate. 

For the first time, Black Artist Forward is teaming up with Cool Springs Downtown District to bring you our Black Art Crawl featuring exhibits and events throughout downtown Fayetteville and beyond.

Eligibility & Entry Fees:
This exhibition is open to all black* artists. There is a $15 entry fee for all applicants.
 
*The term “black artists” includes the totality of the diaspora, and we welcome artists of mixed race.
 
Permission And Copyright
By submitting an entry, the Artist grants permission for the Black Artist Forward to use the accepted film and imagery on its website(s), for brochures, promotional materials, and publicity about the exhibition, both physical and virtual. Every effort will be made to maintain quality true to the submitted film, recognizing that the print or electronic medium may affect how the viewer receives the image. The artist will be given attribution for the work. The Artist hereby certifies that he or she holds the copyright for this material and the copyright remains with said Artist. The Artist also certifies that the work submitted is original and does not infringe on any existing copyright. If artwork includes the image of any person, the artist certifies that a model release for such people has been obtained.  Furthermore, if the accepted work differs dramatically from the film submitted, the Black Artist Forward reserves the right to remove the film from the program.  By submitting work to this call, the Artist acknowledges and understands the above provisions and has read and agreed with the provisions in the Call for Entry.
