Parade Participants

Registration is required to join the parade. Please complete the form by SUNDAY, JUNE 16. If you know you want to join but don"t have all the details - don"t worry - you can revisit this page and update your entry. 

• This year we are hosting a classics red, white, and blue parade; get creative and show us what Independence Day means to you!
• The parade starts at 8:30 a.m. from Indiana and Rock Creek Pkwy.
  • Parade route is ~1.5 miles at < 5mph *pace is set by the marching band
  • *Due to construction on Rock Creek, the parade will stage at Superior Elementary and along Indiana -  NOT from Pitkin on Rock Creek Pkwy.
• Float line up starts at 7:30 a.m. General line up is not preassigned, you will be lined up at arrival.
• Pedestrians and bike line-up starts at 8:00 a.m. on Indiana starting at North Pool.  A limited supply of red, white and blue decorations will be available for decorating bikes!
• After registration, more details and maps will be emailed. 
• If you plan to toss goodies you MUST have a safety walker at each side of each vehicle. 

Parade contest entries can win one of three awards! Float winners are chosen by public vote: QR codes will be posted along the parade route, on each float and during the Pancake Festival. Winners will be announced during the event.
1st Place - $150 gift card
2nd Place - $100 gift card
3rd Place - $75 gift card The parade will follow Rock Creek Parkway and end at Community Park where you can join in the festival fun! Join in or watch from the side as Superior hosts a red, white and blue 4th of July parade, bringing the community together in a spirited procession of floats, marching bands and cheerful participants. Follow the parade to the fun filled festival and free pancakes! The festival will feature a JAMMIN’ DJ, carnival-themed games for kids and adults, local vendors hosting fun activities, bouncy houses and a slip ‘n’ slide! Keep the celebration going! Head over to the Superior Community Center for live music by the Johnny O Band, delicious eats and cool treats.

Driver must have a valid driver’s license.Driver shall have view of riders at all times.All participants riding on open floats shall have solid sitting arrangement with handholds readily available to them.Any standing participant shall have a means to prevent falling from the unit.Children must be under adult supervision and seated at all times.No smoking is allowed on any float.Decorations must be non-combustible or flame-retardant.Riders are to remain on float once the parade begins and at all times when the float is in motion.Throwing candy or other objects from a float or vehicle is prohibited. Underhand tossing is allowed only if the float has safety walkers stationed next to the float.
